Embryo morphology and morphokinetics have been studied for their association with euploid embryos. However, the results are controversial, especially in advanced-aged women group, when risk of aneuploidy increases significantly. This prospective cohort study evaluated between embryo development day-3 cleavage day-5 blastocyst stages euploidy rates, determined using preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A). Embryos from aged 35 years above who underwent intracytoplasmic sperm injections PGT-A...

Abstract Aim To compare the effects of ethinyl estradiol ( EE ) 30 mcg/desogestrel 150 mcg plus spironolactone 25 mg/day (group A versus 35 mcg/cyproterone acetate 2 mg B on hyperandrogenism and metabolism in PCOS . Methods This was a randomized clinical study. Eighteen women groups received medications for three cycles. Acne score, androgens metabolic parameters were assessed before after treatment. Results One two , respectively, excluded from Both had significantly decreased acne score...

Data on glucose metabolism in Asian adolescents with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are limited. Glucose assessment using an oral tolerance test (OGTT) obese and lean Thai PCOS, a comparison between the two groups were done. Thirty-one patients (19 obese, 12 lean) enrolled. Their median (range) age was 14.9 (11.0–21.0) years. Eighteen had abnormal (13 hyperinsulinemia, 4 impaired tolerance, 1 diabetes). Compared [median BMI Z-score, 1.6 (1.2–2.6)] 0.1 (–1.4 to 0.6)] patients, frequencies...

In this cross-sectional prospective study, advanced next-generation sequencing technology was used to compare the molecular karyotyping of individual human sperm cells in infertile couples with severe oligoteratozoospermia (i.e., low count and motility) those normal semen. Fourteen who were patients at Ramathibodi Hospital Bangkok, Thailand, recruited from January November 2023, they categorized into two groups based on semen analysis results. The study group comprised oligoteratozoospermia,...

Background and objective Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is a technique to identify the defects in embryos created through vitro fertilization (IVF). The purpose of this technology assist reproduction one or both biological parents carrying known abnormalities. Herein, we report on Thai couple having an experience loss first child affected by neurodegeneration died at age 2. Brain MRI revealed tiger-eye-sign, which was suspected for pantothenate kinase-associated (PKAN). DNA...

Retrograde ejaculation, a common type of anejaculation, is attributable to many causes, some which can be treated with medication and cannot. For infertility treatment, sperm must collected from the urine patients. Our study attempts ascertain effects different g-forces on motility, morphology DNA integrity in preparation by Sil-Select™ density gradient method isolating specimens. Forty-seven semen samples normal analyses according World Health Organisation (WHO) 1999 criteria were included...
