The discharge of metals and dyes poses a serious threat to public health the environment. What is worse, these two hazardous pollutants are often found coexist in industrial wastewaters, making treatment more challenging. Herein, we report an EDTA-cross-linked β-cyclodextrin (EDTA-β-CD) bifunctional adsorbent, which was fabricated by easy green approach through polycondensation reaction with EDTA as cross-linker, for simultaneous adsorption dyes. In this setting, cyclodextrin cavities...

The development of an environmentally benign process for the hydrolysis cellulose into reducing sugars can be one key technologies making full use cellulosic biomass in future. Here, a char sulfonic acid (BC-SO3H)-catalyzed water was achieved under microwave irradiation. BC-SO3H catalysts prepared cheaply from natural bamboo, cotton and starch, showed much higher turnover number (TON, 1.33-1.73) this reaction compared to dilute H2SO4 solution 0.02), which likely due their strong affinity...

A new, efficient Cu-catalyzed intramolecular C-H oxidation/acylation method has been developed for the synthesis of substituted indoline-2,3-diones (isatins). In presence CuCl(2) and O(2), a variety formyl-N-arylformamides underwent tandem reaction to afford corresponding in moderate good yields. It is noteworthy that serves as first example transition-metal-catalyzed transformation preparation indoline-2,3-diones.

The present paper describes a green and economic approach to explore EDTA/DTPA-functionalized magnetic chitosan as adsorbents for the removal of aqueous metal ions, such Cd(II), Pb(II), Co(II), Ni(II). EDTA DTPA play roles not only cross-linkers but also functional groups in chelating ions. morphology, structure, property were characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD, EDS, FT-IR, TGA, VSM techniques. Their adsorption properties ions varying experimental conditions investigated. kinetic results...

The global contamination of water resources with inorganic and organic micropollutants, such as metals pharmaceuticals, poses a critical threat to the environment human health. Herein, we report on bio-derived chitosan-EDTA-β-cyclodextrin (CS-ED-CD) trifunctional adsorbent fabricated via facile green one-pot synthesis method using EDTA cross-linker, for adsorption toxic micropollutants from wastewater. In this system, chitosan chain is considered backbone, immobilized cyclodextrin cavities...

Efficient and solvent-free copper-catalyzed N-arylations of imidazoles with aryl heteroaryl halides have been demonstrated. In the presence CuBr, 2-aminopyrimidine-4,6-diol, TBAF (n-Bu4NF), a variety underwent N-arylation reaction smoothly in moderate to excellent yields. Noteworthy is that conducted under conditions.
