The blazar 3C 454.3 underwent an unprecedented optical outburst in spring 2005. This was first followed by a mm and then cm radio outburst, which peaked February 2006. We report on follow-up observations the WEBT to study multiwavelength emission post-outburst phase. XMM-Newton July December 2006 added information X-ray UV fluxes. source faint state. flux at higher frequencies showed fast decreasing trend, represents tail of big outburst. It quiescent state, common all frequencies. In...
Abstract We present (sub)millimeter imaging at 0.″5 resolution of the massive star-forming region G358.93−0.03 acquired in multiple epochs 2 and 3 months following recent flaring its 6.7 GHz CH OH maser emission. Using Submillimeter Array Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array, we have discovered 14 new Class II lines ranging frequency from 199 to 361 GHz, which originate mostly = 1 torsionally excited transitions include one transition. The latter detection provides first...
Opacity-driven shifts of the apparent very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) core position with frequency (the 'core shift' effect) probe physical conditions in innermost parts jets active galactic nuclei. We present first detailed investigation this effect brightest γ-ray blazar 3C 454.3 using direct measurements from simultaneous 4.6–43 GHz array observations, and a time lag analysis 4.8–37 light curves University Michigan Radio Observatory, Crimean Astrophysical Observatory Metsähovi...
We present the results of optical (R band) photometric and polarimetric monitoring Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) imaging blazar S4 0954+658, along with Fermi gamma;-ray data during a multi-waveband outburst in 2011 March-April. After faint state brightness level R ~17.6 mag registered first half January 2011, source started to rise reached ~14.8 middle March, showing flare-like behavior. The most spectacular case intranight variability was observed night March 9, when brightened by ~0.7...
The blazar 3C 454.3 exhibited a strong flare seen in γ-rays, X-rays and optical/near-infrared bands during 2009 December 3–12. Emission the V J rose more gradually than did γ-rays soft X-rays, though all peaked at nearly same time. Optical polarization measurements showed dramatic changes flare, with anticorrelation between optical flux degree of (which from ∼3 to ∼20 per cent) declining phase flare. was accompanied by large rapid swings angle ∼170°. This combination behaviours appears be...
Abstract We performed a long-term optical ( B , V R bands), infrared J and K radio band (15, 22, 37 GHz band) study of the flat spectrum quasar, 3C 454.3, using data collected over period more than 8 yr (MJD 54500–57500). The temporal variability, spectral properties, interwaveband correlations were studied by dividing available into smaller segments with regular sampling. This helped us constrain size relative locations emission regions for different wavebands. Spectral analysis source...
The article discusses the possibility of formulating a conclusion about transition in early April 2009 to an exceptional state geophysical system area with radius several hundred kilometers from Rome. This fact preceded tragic earthquake on 6, 2009, which led large casualties Italian city L'Aquila. was obtained based analysis statistics critical frequency ionosphere. In course calculations, particular, phenomena high degree determinism that specified seismic event were detected. their...
The data from the last 60 years on programs of long-term multi-frequency monitoring active galactic nucleus (AGN) 3C 273 were analyzed. A model is proposed for finding parameters close binary systems (CBSs) supermassive black holes (SMBHs), including a harmonic analysis observational series obtained in optical and radio ranges. purpose this research was to show that absence information AGNs, only can be used necessary physical objects obtained. Regarding example blazar 273, following...
The paper considers the properties of statistical function whose plot comprises a set measurements H-component magnetic field. There has been found quasi-linear objects with very similar parameters. In context hypothesis about correspondence these structures to seismic processes, there made an estimate time intervals typical for phases decrease and increase in level compression lithospheric plate material earthquake source zones. It shown that application methods geophysics may contribute...
ABSTRACT The results of long-term monitoring the Galactic 22.2 GHz water masers associated with G25.65+1.05 using several telescopes are presented. We report a powerful double flare peak flux densities ∼60 and 130 kJy in 2017 September November, respectively. propose linear relationship between inverse square line width natural logarithm density flaring maser feature. infer from this that feature is unsaturated.
Abstract We investigate the prompt emission and afterglow properties of short-duration gamma-ray burst (sGRB) 130603B another eight sGRB events during 2012–2015, observed by several multiwavelength facilities including Gran Canarias Telescope 10.4 m telescope. Prompt high energy data were obtained INTEGRAL-SPI-ACS, Swift-BAT, Fermi-GBM satellites. The INTEGRAL in range 0.1–10 MeV for 130603B, 140606A, 140930B, 141212A, 151228A do not show any signature extended or precursor activity their...
The article examines the 5.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred on June 25, 2021 in vicinity of Yayladere (Turkey). analysis geomagnetic measurements carried out revealed a set deterministic processes preceded this event and are interpreted as its precursors. An estimate is made average time between interval existence such phenomena moment under consideration. As result, close values corresponding averaged intervals were obtained for statistics all three components field considered article....
Abstract In 2019 September, a sudden flare of the 6.7 GHz methanol maser was observed toward high-mass young stellar object (HMYSO) G24.33+0.14. This may represent fourth detection transient mass accretion event in an HMYSO after S255IR NIRS3, NGC 6334I-MM1, and G358.93−0.03-MM1. G24.33+0.14 is unique among these sources as it clearly shows repeating with 8 yr interval. Using Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), we millimeter continuum molecular lines pre-flare phase 2016...
We study the core shift effect in parsec scale jet of blazar 3C 454.3 using 4.8 GHz - 36.8 radio light curves obtained from three decades continuous monitoring. From a piecewise Gaussian fit to each flare, time lags $\Delta t$ between observation frequencies $\nu$ and spectral indices $\alpha$ based on peak amplitudes $A$ are determined. t \propto \nu^{1/k_r}$, $k_r = 1.10 \pm 0.18$ indicating equipartition magnetic field energy density particle density. $A \nu^\alpha$, is range $-0.24$...
We studied the pc-scale core shift effect using radio light curves for three blazars, S5 0716+714, 3C 279 and BL Lacertae, which were monitored at five frequencies (ν) between 4.8 36.8 GHz University of Michigan Radio Astronomical Observatory (UMRAO), Crimean Astrophysical (CrAO) Metsähovi over 40 yr. Flares Gaussian fitted to derive time delays observed each flare (Δt), peak amplitude (A) their half width. Using A ∝ να, we infer α in range −16.67–2.41 |$\Delta t \propto \nu ^{1/k_r}$|, kr...
Abstract Because of detailed monitoring the 22.2 GHz water maser, carried out from 2021 October to 2023 May, a very powerful flare phenomenon was detected in galactic object W51 near radial velocity 60 km s −1 with amplitude 140 kJy. A this magnitude unprecedented entire history observations source. Eleven short flares were recorded. The exponential increase and decrease flux density while reducing their spectral line widths indicated that masers an unsaturated state during flares. All...
