Traumatic spinal cord injury (TSI) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with the cervical spine being most affected. Delayed diagnosis carries risk mortality. However, CT scans are time-consuming, costly, not always available in general care. In this study, deep learning was used to assess improve detection injuries on lateral radiographs, widely screening method help physicians triage patients quickly avoid unnecessary scans.
