A series of fifteen novel dihydropyrimidinone hybrid compounds were synthesized in good yieldsviaa multicomponent reaction combined with the Huisgen reaction.
Biodiesel is obtained from the alcoholysis of triglycerides and has been used as a renewable alternative to diesel. Though methanolysis in presence MeONa catalyst widely used, searching for alternatives that may improve competitiveness production chain still challenge. The aim this work was evaluate sodium glyceroxide soy oil. Sodium glycerol NaOH ethanol, characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy....
A series of nine metal chloride hydrates (ZnCl2.2H2O, SnCl2.2H2O, CdCl2.2H2O, MnCl2.4H2O, CoCl2.6H2O, SrCl2.6H2O, NiCl2.6H2O, CrCl3.6H2O and CeCl3.7H2O) was investigated as mild inexpensive Lewis acid catalysts to promote the multicomponent synthesis triarylimidazoles. Reactions starting from benzil showed best results when SnCl2.2H2O used, while for benzoin material, CeCl3.7H2O more efficient. All reactions were performed in EtOH solvent. These also successfully employed triaryloxazoles.
Alcohol residues in biodiesel can be present even after the purification steps. It diminishes flash point, lubricity and cetane number. The standard technique to quantify residual alcohol is FID-GC with headspace sampling. NMR, although underused for quantitative analyses, requires no special sample preparation, consumes low volume of solvent. In this work, methodologies methanol ethanol contents soy by 1H-NMR a 9.4 T (400 MHz) spectrometer addition were developed validated. Quantification...
Biodiesel made from oils is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids methyl esters, and, consequently, presents high tendency to oxidize.Biodiesel fats, on the other hand, mainly comprised by saturated chains.Although it highly stable, they easily crystalize at low temperatures.Blends both can exhibit optimized properties. In this work, oxidative stability, expressed induction period (IP), and cold filter plugging point (CFPP) of blends palm, palm kernel, babassu, tallow or lard biodiesels with...
A series of chromene-dihydropyrimidinone and xanthene-dihydropyrimidinone hybrid compounds were easily synthesized through a multicomponent reaction followed by the copper-catalyzed alkyne–azide cycloaddition reaction.
In this work, babassu FAME samples were synthesized by transesterification reaction under alkaline catalysis with sodium glyceroxide and two steps process KOH followed H2SO4 as catalysts. A sequential multi-element method for determination of Zn, Fe, Mg, Ca, Na K in high resolution continuum source flame atomic absorption spectrometry (HR-CS FAAS) was developed. The proposed is based on a microemulsion formation mixing the 1-propanol aqueous phase. mass proportion added components evaluated...
