Abstract. Tephra layers produced by volcanic eruptions are widely used for correlation and dating of various deposits landforms, synchronization disparate paleoenvironmental archives, reconstruction magma origin. Here we present our original database TephraKam, which includes chemical compositions glass in tephra welded tuffs from the Kamchatka arc. The contains 7049 single-shard major element analyses obtained electron microprobe 738 trace laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass...

Abstract. Shiveluch (N 56°38´, E 161°19´; elevation: active dome ~2500 m, summit of Old 3283 m) is one the most volcanoes in Kamchatka. The eruptions commonly result major environmental damage caused by debris avalanches, hot pyroclastic flows, tephra falls and lahars. Constraining these events time space important for understanding prediction natural hazards. last eruption occurred 2005; earlier ones, dated instrumental, historical, 14C tephrochronological methods, millennium around AD...

New oak tree-ring chronologies for European Russia built with subfossil wood excavated from the alluvial deposits of Zapadnaya Dvina (Daugava) River and archaeological samples Novgorod Vyazma are presented. They have been matched nearest absolutely dated chronology constructed in Polotsk (Republic Belarus) to periods AD 649–1382 (Zapadnaya Dvina), 1059–1386 (Novgorod), 1074–1306 (Vyazma). Dates further confirmed via comparison oaks Smarhon Baltic 1 as well by radiocarbon dating. Newly...

We present here the first regional set of Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic compositions, major and trace element compositions KAr ages for a representative suite back-arc samples Sredinny Range (SR) Kamchatka. Together with previously published analyses, this unique dataset allowed us to source heterogeneity invoke new mechanisms explain variably enriched geochemical signatures. Our results indicate that Sr ratios LILE content studied rocks were mainly influenced by subduction fluid. Neodymium isotopes, as...
