X-ray scattering of biological macromolecules in solution is an increasingly popular tool for structural biology and benefits greatly from modern high-brightness synchrotron sources. The upgraded MacCHESS BioSAXS station now located at the 49-pole wiggler beamline G1. 20-fold improved flux over previous F2 provides higher sample throughput autonomous data collection using a unique SAXS/WAXS dual detectors configuration. This setup achieves combined q-range 0.007 to 0.7 Å(-1), enabling better...

The absorption characteristics, emission spectra, luminescent quantum yields, and lifetimes are reported for 24 ruthenium(II) tris-1,10-phenanthroline complexes in EtOH–MeOH solution. Quantum yields fall between 0.019 0.403, the highest values being recorded substituted at 4,7-sites with aryl groups. Incorporation of these derivatives into poly(vinyl chloride) film raises leading to ranging from 0.40 0.75.

The monolayer and LB film-forming properties of 20 structurally related amphiphilic octa-substituted phthalocyanine derivatives have been assessed. molecular packing within examples the films has probed by visible-region spectroscopy low-angle X-ray diffraction methods. Among where aliphatic substituents are attached ether linkages, there is a variation in behaviour according to length chains whether or not branched. Films highly ordered but may contain domains structure, giving rise...

A fixed-target approach to high-throughput room-temperature serial synchrotron crystallography with oscillation is described. Patterned silicon chips microwells provide high crystal-loading density an extremely hit rate. The microfocus, undulator-fed beamline at CHESS, which has compound refractive optics and a fast-framing detector, was built optimized for this experiment. method described here collects 1–5° of data per crystal room temperature fast (10° s −1 ) rates translation times,...

The metal-free and nickel derivatives of hexaoctylpyridino[3,4]tribenzoporphyrazine generate conventional face-to-face aggregates in solution, exhibit columnar mesophases form assemblies upon evaporation solutions. By contrast, the zinc derivative forms alternative edge-to-face complexes through axial ligation one molecule to atom another, a process which inhibits mesophase behaviour leads new types visible region absorption signatures.

Bias Temperature Instability (BTI) measurements were performed on SiC n-channel DMOSFETs. The effects of the BTI stress electrical characteristics device studied using slow and fast measurements. Measurements show that change in threshold voltage (Vth) can be attributed to charge carrier trapping/de-trapping at border traps, while interface trapped density is found unaffected. measurements, however, shows significant Vth recovery taking place in-situ during measurement. Moreover, shift...
