The exhumation and tectonic emplacement of eclogites blueschists takes place in forearc accretionary complexes by either forearc- or backarc-directed extrusion, but few examples have been well analysed detail. Here we present an example oblique wedge extrusion UHP/HP rocks the Atbashi complex Kyrgyz South Tianshan. Our field mapping structural analysis demonstrate that Eclogite–Blueschist Complex is situated a complicated duplex formed northerly dextral transpression system southerly...
The Makbal Formation of the Northern Kyrgyz Tien-Shan consists mainly phengite-quartz schists (meta-quartzite), garnet-chloritoid-talc and marbles, all which contain lenses amphibolites eclogites. from complex underwent UHP metamorphism. mineral assemblage stage is garnet + chloritoid talc phengite rutile coesite ± glaucophane florencite monazite apatite. Electron microprobe analyses monazites provide two similar CHIME ages. Monazites occurring in matrix yield an age 481 26 Ma, inclusions...
Abstract Eclogites and related high‐ P metamorphic rocks occur in the Zaili Range of Northern Kyrgyz Tien‐Shan (Tianshan) Mountains, which are located south‐western segment Central Asian Orogenic Belt. preserved cores garnet amphibolites that Aktyuz area as boudins layers (up to 2000 m length) within country rock gneisses. The textures mineral chemistry eclogites, gneisses record three distinct events (M1–M3). In first MP–HT event (M1) amphibolite/epidote‐amphibolite facies conditions...
Coesite occurs in garnets from quartz schists and pelitic the Makbal Complex of Kyrgyzian Tien-Shan. The thick interbedded with are transitional facies after coesite schists. Quartz-pseudomorph also appears widely schists, but is rare eclogitic rocks. growth zoning Na-Ca amphiboles eclogites garnet-omphacite geothermometry indicate that metamorphic P-T paths different each. Ultra-high (UHP) pressure rocks mainly composed All eclogite lenses included host UHPM rocks, although most them do not...
Abstract Characterization of spatial and temporal variability stable isotopes (δ 18 O δ 2 H) surface waters is essential to interpret hydrological processes establish modern isotope–elevation gradients across mountainous terrains. Here, we present isotope data for river Kyrgyzstan. River water exhibit substantial heterogeneity among different watersheds in Higher values were found mainly the Issyk‐Kul Lake watershed, whereas Son‐Kul watershed display lower values. Results show a close O–δ H...
Garnet and omphacite in eclogites from the Aktyuz area, northern Kyrgyz Tien-Shan, preserve evidence of two distinct metamorphic events. Relic polyphase inclusions Fe-rich staurolite (XMg < 0.29), Mg-taramite, paragonite, oligoclase (An 16) contained garnet cores represent a separate pre-eclogitic amphibolite or epidote-amphibolite facies metamorphism (T = 560-650 °C, P 4-10 kbar). This relatively low- to medium-pressure event probably resulted heat hot hanging wall at inception subduction....
Eclogites occurring in the Neldy Formation of Makbal district Kyrgyz Northern Tien-Shan are newly described. The metamorphism eclogites is divided into two events, a precursor metamorphic event and subsequent eclogitic event. conditions represented by amphibolite facies. peak estimated to be T = 550-610 °C P 22-25 kbars. prograde, retrograde define hairpin-type clockwise P-T path for eclogites.
We report the occurrence of preiswerkite and högbomite as inclusion phases within garnets eclogite from Aktyuz area Northern Tien Shan, Kyrgyzstan. Preiswerkite occur both a constituent multiphase solid inclusions (MSI) single discrete grains in mantle rim garnets. However, they do not core garnet matrix eclogite. is associated with minerals paragonite ± staurolite Mg-taramite Na-biotite hematite chlorite titanite phengite magnetite, magnetite MSI. The average compositions are...
The high- to ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks of the Atbashy complex were petrologically investigated. eclogites Choloktor Formation show a prograde evolution from epidote-blueschist facies (P = 17–21 kbar and T 450–515 °C) peak eclogite-UHP conditions 26–29 545–615 with subsequent epidote-amphibolite greenschist overprint. mica-schists also clockwise P-T path blueschist/epidote-blueschist through eclogite 21–23 530–580 retrograde stages. A comparison paths in reveal that they may have...
