Series of ionic dioxidovanadium(V) complexes with Schiff base ligands based on 2-hydroxybenzhydrazide and substituted salicylaldehydes were synthesized described. As cations, the organic compounds like 2-aminoethanol (AMET) 3-amino-1-propanol (AMPR) used. The general formula HAMET[VO2L] HAMPR[VO2L] (where L = ONO-donor ligand) characterized by X-ray single crystal structure measurements as well elemental analysis, IR UV-Vis spectroscopy. very soluble in water contrast to their neutral...

Abstract Twenty-four oxidovanadium(IV,V) complexes with tridentate Schiff base ligands based on 5-nitrosalicylaldehyde, 5-methoxysalicylaldehyde, or 5-sulfosalicylaldehyde and respective hydrazide were isolated, characterized using physicochemical spectroscopic methods. Three of them structurally by single-crystal X-ray structure determination. The biological activity studies included inhibition human tyrosine phosphatases, myocyte C2C12, adipocyte 3T3-L1, hepatocyte HepG2 cell lines,...
Effect of the cation size (compared to Cs+) in Li2[W(CN)6(bpy)] salts on nature interaction with cyanide ligands and crystal structure is discussed, unusual decrease W–W distance increase cell volume are observed.
The K+ and Rb+ salts of [W(CN)6(bpy)]2− ion were compared to the Li+ Cs+ ones. layered structure is independent on cation radii decreasing strength cation–anion interactions going from Cs+.
The concept of oxidation state (or number) and related issues have always been difficult for students. In addition, there are misunderstandings obscurities, which can cause improper balancing the chemical equations (mostly in organic reactions). particular, these problems to determination nitrogen carbon atoms compounds. recent years, Matura Exam Poland (ending education Upper Secondary School) puts special emphasis on verification students' skills examples absence literature, methods rules...
In the text, synthesis and characteristics of novel ONS-type vanadium(V) complexes with thioanilide derivatives amino acids are described. They have shown inhibition human protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTP1B, LAR, SHP1 SHP2) in submicromolar range, as well non-tyrosine (CDC25A PPA2) similar to bis(maltolato)oxovanadium(IV)(BMOV). The ONS increased [14C]-deoxy-D-glucose transport into C2C12 myocytes, one them, VC070, also enhanced this 3T3-L1 adipocytes. These inhibited gluconeogenesis...
Two sodium salts with the [W(CN)6(bpy)]2−ion were synthesized and compared to Li+, K+, Rb+and Cs+structures. The comparison of molecular packing, inter- intra-molecular interactions cation properties is discussed.
The synthesis and single X-ray crystal structures of Tl2[W(CN)6(bpy)]·H2O, Tl[W(CN)6(bpy)], Tl57[{Fe(CN)6}12{NO3}9]·9H2O, Tl4[W(CN)8] Tl4[Mo(CN)8] are described. Salts crystalize in the monoclinic or trigonal (Fe) space group. For all complexes, very unusual “side-on” coordination Tl to C N cyanido ligands is observed compared potassium cations. strong bonding with an 8–13 number thallium described discussed. difference between indication biological activity role Prussian blue detoxification...
The reactions of tetrazole ligand derived from 2-cyanopyridine with K3Na[Mo(CN)4O2]·6H2O and K3Na[W(CN)4O2]·6H2O in water-ethanol solution result isolation two new complexes the following formulae: (PPh4)2[Mo(CN)3O(pdt)]·2H2O (1) (Hpdt = 5-(2-pyridil)-1H-tetrazole) (PPh4)2[W(CN)3O(pdt)]·3H2O (2). were characterized by elemental analysis, single crystal X-ray structure measurements, IR UV-Vis spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry measurement as well thermogravimetric measurement. measurements...
Five complexes with the alkaline earth metals salts (Be2+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+and Ba2+) and [W(CN)6(bpy)]− ion have been synthesized. Two of them, Ca[W(CN)6(bpy)]ClO4·3H2O Sr[W(CN)6(bpy)]NO3·2H2O, were structurally characterized based on X-ray analysis single crystals compared series Me2[WIV(CN)6(bpy)] Me[WV(CN)6(bpy)] (where Me = alkali metal) previously studied. The structure salt Ca2+ shows a layered system cations anions, clearly defined inorganic organic (bpy) layer, which are connected by...
