Field strength measurements were conducted at VHF and UHF for different base station antenna heights in the south Indian coastal zones urban, sub-urban, quasi-open open regions. These experimentally observed values are compared with prediction methods like Hata, ITU-R, Blonquist & Ladell, Egli, Tbrahim Parsons.
