The use of high-concentration sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) as an endodontic irrigant remains controversial because its potential impact on the fracture strength endodontically treated teeth. This study evaluated effects using different NaOCl concentrations, with 2-min-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) final active irrigant, biomechanical and structural properties root dentine.A new test method, which is more clinically relevant, was utilized to calculate dentine. Bovine incisors were...

In this study, a novel dental composite based on the unsaturated bismethylene spiroorthocarbonate expanding monomer 3,9-dimethylene-1,3,5,7-tetraoxa-spiro[5,5]undecane (BMSOC) and bisphenol-S-bis(3-meth acrylate-2-hydroxypropyl)ether (BisS-GMA) was prepared. CQ (camphorquinone) of 1 wt % DMAEMA (2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) 2 were used in photoinitiation system to initiate copolymerization matrix resins. Distilled water contact angle measurements performed for wettability...

Photoactivating dental resin composites have been the most prevailing material for repairing defects in various clinical scenarios due to their multiple advantages. However, compared other restorative materials, surface of resin-based is more susceptible plaque biofilm accumulation, which can lead secondary caries and restoration failure. This study introduced different weight fractions (1, 2, 5, 10, 15%) magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgONPs) as antibacterial fillers into composites....

A new type of photocurable resin composite containing nano-MgO was synthesized in order to reduce the occurrence secondary caries. Different mass ratios (0 %, 1 2 4 8 %) were added into composites. The antibacterial properties powder and modified composites against Streptococcus mutans (S. mutans) detected by ring test film contact test, respectively. Compressive strength (CS) wear resistance determined a universal testing machine an abrasion machine. results indicated that activity superior...

Chitosan (CS)/polylactic acid (PLA)/tripolyphotspate (TPP) nanosized microcapsules were prepared by emulsion-evaporation. The average diameter of the obtained was around 100-300 nm, and a homogeneous size distribution good dispersion observed. entrapment efficiency CS/PLA/TPP for rapamycin increased with increase in amount PLA. When ratio CS to PLA 80 20, reached highest (89.8 +/- 1.72%). It also observed that RAPA its at 20% addition dosage RAPA.
