This paper describes a Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) feature extraction processor for HDTV resolution video (1920 × 1080 pixels). It features simplified HOG algorithm with cell-based scanning and simultaneous Support Vector Machine (SVM) calculation, pipeline architecture, parallelized modules. To evaluate the effectiveness our approach, proposed architecture is implemented onto FPGA prototyping board. Results show that can generate detect objects 40 MHz SVGA (800 ~ 600 pixels) at 72...

Porous ceramics of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) were prepared by sintering powder compacts consisting PZT and stearic acid powders in an air atmosphere; was added as a pore‐forming agent (PFA). The dielectric, elastic piezoelectric properties uniformly porous investigated function the porosity volume fraction. Furthermore, beam‐shaped actuator sample with graded content across its thickness fabricated PFA‐graded compacts. electric‐field‐induced bending displacement characteristics samples...

In order to solve the problem of coercivity decrease during sintering, we developed a low-oxygen process capable producing sintered compacts while avoiding oxidization. This study proved that Sm2Fe17N3 produced by maintained raw powder. Scanning transmission electron microscopy observation found no obvious formation an oxide layer at interfaces. Magnetic measurements revealed magnets decreased as oxygen concentration increased. summary, this demonstrated having same powder can be

The low-temperature-phase MnBi (LTP-MnBi) powders were successfully synthesized via an in-house developed low-oxygen induction thermal plasma system, followed by post-annealing treatment. However, achieving high-purity LTP-MnBi alloy remains a challenge due to persistent undesired Mn, Bi and Bi-rich phases post-peritectic reaction during heat Here, we employed the in-situ transmission electron microscopy investigate phase transformation processes dynamically. It is found that micro-sized...

The development of additive manufacturing (AM) permanent magnets is rapidly growing due to the competitive advantages they offer. AM complex shape could revolutionize design electrical machines potentially allowing for higher performance. Unfortunately, magnetic performance often limited use isotropic powders. In this study, Al-NdFeB composite were fabricated by cold spray using anisotropic NdFeB Anisotropic powder can improve magnets' remanence and energy product via particle alignment...

Aluminum (Al) is one of the most important metals from an industrial viewpoint because its superior electrical and thermal conductivity, light weight, low cost etc. However, it well known as with sinterability due to thin but stable oxide layer on particle surface. This study demonstrates possibility Al powder in a metallurgy field, especially additive manufacturing techniques, by using lanthanoid metal compounds sintering aids. Newly developed gas-atomized recorded sintered density over 97%...

As a model for composite materials of piezoelectric ceramic and metal, lead zirconate titanate (PZT) platinum (Pt) particulate composites were fabricated by power processing. The electrical mechanical properties the PZT–Pt measured as function Pt volume fraction. relative dielectric constants increased markedly, while electromechanical coupling coefficients decreased with increasing content. When fraction exceeded 30%, became electrically conductive because percolation particles....

A laminated piezoelectric bimorph actuator with a graded compositional distribution of PZT and Pt was fabricated, its deflection characteristics were evaluated. Using experimentally determined dependency elastic properties in the PZT/Pt composites, modified classical lamination theory finite element method applied to find optimum profile that will give larger smaller stress, simultaneously. The miniature bimorph-type consists composite internal-electrode (PZT/30 vol% Pt) three layers...

Single‐phase lead lanthanum zirconate titanate (PLZT) solid solution powder was synthesized from the constituent oxides at ambient temperature through a mechanical alloying (MA) process and then densified to fine‐grained ceramics by sintering hot‐pressing. The anomalous photovoltaic effect (APV) photoinduced strain of resultant PLZT were investigated analyzed in association with influence grain size. It found that voltage up 6000 V·cm −1 can be obtained as size is reduced 0.42 μm. This...
