The SuperKEKB project requires a positron and electron collider with peak luminosity of 8 × 1035 cm−2 s−1. This is 40 times that the KEKB B-factory, which operated for 11 years up to 2010. an asymmetry-energy double-ring collider; beam energy (LER) 4 GeV (HER) 7 GeV. An extremely small beta function at interaction point (IP) low emittance are necessary. In addition, in order achieve target luminosity, large horizontal crossing angle between two colliding beams adopted, as bunch length much...

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common malignancies worldwide. Genes whose expression down-regulated in GC may be tumour suppressor genes. In present study, genes with decreased were screened for by serial analysis gene (SAGE) data and reverse transcription (RT)-polymerase chain reaction (PCR), CLDN18 (encoding claudin-18) was identified. Quantitative RT-PCR revealed that 13 (56.5%) 23 GCs. Immunostaining showed normal gastric mucosa Paneth cells duodenum expressed claudin-18 on cell...

We have performed ab-initio total energy calculations for the system of BaTiO 3 doped with d transition metal (from Sc to Cu), within framework local spin-density approximation (LSDA). Total energies corresponding nonmagnetic, ferromagnetic, and anti-ferromagnetic configurations magnetic ordering were calculated examine stability. The results predict that Cr-, Mn-, Fe-doped are candidates ferromagnetic fabrication. Above all, Mn-doped is most promising, although carrier doping necessary.

LRIG1, a membrane glycoprotein, has emerged as significant stem cell marker and negative regulator of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), including EGFR. Glycosylation is major post-translational modification, which plays crucial role in protein function stability. In cancer biology, abnormal glycosylation can serve biomarker contribute to pathogenesis. We aimed investigate the effects on LRIG1 functions. Through database analysis experimental approaches, we focused evolutionarily conserved...

The expression of cell differentiation and proliferation markers canine neuroepithelial tumors was examined immunohistochemically to identify the histogenesis these tumors. Astrocytomas (n = 4) consisted cells positive for glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) nestin a few doublecortin (DCX). Immunoreactive receptor tyrosine kinases (epidermal growth factor c-erbB2) their downstream molecules (phospho-extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 phospho-Akt) were often detected in...

Subdural histiocytic sarcomas from 15 dogs (mean age 7.8 years) were histopathologically examined. Among the dogs, there was a marked breed predominance (toward Pembroke Welsh Corgi 47%), but no gender predilection. Focal solitary subdural masses detected in cerebrum (12 cases) and spinal cord (1 case), whereas diffuse infiltrative lesions observed cerebral leptomeninges 2 cases. All neoplastic had common histological features characterized by proliferation of pleomorphic cells combined with...

Senile plaques (SPs) and cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), pathological hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease, have not been thoroughly investigated histopathologically in nonhuman primates. To determine the onset age histopathological characteristics SPs CAA, we examined brains 64 cynomolgus monkeys ( Macaca fascicularis ) from 2 to 35 years old. Mature (classical primitive) appeared 16 out 25 that were >20 Moreover, mature observed more frequently than diffuse located temporal cortex...

Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) induced morphologic changes such as chromatin condensation and cell shrinkage in a feline fibroblastic line (CRFK) chronically infected with immunodeficiency virus (FIV) but not uninfected CRFK cells. DNA extracted from TNF-alpha-treated cells FIV showed ladder of nucleosomal DNA, indicating that this cytocidal effect by TNF-alpha was due to programmed death, or apoptosis. These findings may have implications for understanding the pathogenesis...

Canine malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNSTs) occur not only in the nervous system (PNS) but also soft tissue and various organs (non-PNS). The most important diagnostic criterion is proof of origin. This difficult non-PNS MPNSTs, its differential diagnosis challenging. perivascular wall (PWTs) commonly arise tissue.
