Ni–Ti thin films of various compositions were sputtered-deposited on silicon substrates. Their mechanical properties (hardness and Young's modulus) then determined using a nanoindenter equipped with Berkovich tip. This paper examines the effects composition sputter deposited films. is particular interest since actuation these shape memory alloy are compositionally sensitive. The surface-induced deformation revealed via Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) images indented surfaces. Which show...

We study spin squeezing, an intrinsically quantum property, in the kicked top model exhibiting chaotic behaviours classical limit. show that squeezing can reveal underlying and regular structures phase space given by a sphere with unit radius, namely, vanishes after very short time for initial coherent state centred region of space, whereas occurs over long period elliptic fixed point. also distribution mean directions when dynamics take places give comparison between entanglement.

The SuperKEKB project underway at KEK will increase the KEKB luminosity by 40 times using nanobeam-interaction-region focusing optics. To achieve this high luminosity, chromaticity correction of collision beams is crucial; thus, special sextupole magnets, which can simultaneously produce normal and skew fields, are required in straight sections around interaction point. As a candidate for sextupole, cryocooled high-temperature superconducting magnet was proposed; development has begun. Here,...
