The SuperKEKB project requires a positron and electron collider with peak luminosity of 8 × 1035 cm−2 s−1. This is 40 times that the KEKB B-factory, which operated for 11 years up to 2010. an asymmetry-energy double-ring collider; beam energy (LER) 4 GeV (HER) 7 GeV. An extremely small beta function at interaction point (IP) low emittance are necessary. In addition, in order achieve target luminosity, large horizontal crossing angle between two colliding beams adopted, as bunch length much...
Ni–Ti thin films of various compositions were sputtered-deposited on silicon substrates. Their mechanical properties (hardness and Young's modulus) then determined using a nanoindenter equipped with Berkovich tip. This paper examines the effects composition sputter deposited films. is particular interest since actuation these shape memory alloy are compositionally sensitive. The surface-induced deformation revealed via Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) images indented surfaces. Which show...
Abstract We consider the mean spin direction (MSD) of superpositions two coherent states (SCS) | ± μ〉, and μ〉 μ*〉 with a relative phase. find that azimuthal angle exhibits π transition for both when we vary The squeezing states, bosonic counterpart are also discussed.
We study spin squeezing, an intrinsically quantum property, in the kicked top model exhibiting chaotic behaviours classical limit. show that squeezing can reveal underlying and regular structures phase space given by a sphere with unit radius, namely, vanishes after very short time for initial coherent state centred region of space, whereas occurs over long period elliptic fixed point. also distribution mean directions when dynamics take places give comparison between entanglement.
This paper presents the results of experimental study nano and micro indentation size effect on selected (001) oriented face centered cubic (FCC) crystals (Ni, Au, Ag). Following a detailed description techniques correction factors, effects in Ag, Ni single are elucidated. Material pile-up phenomena discussed before analyzing within context mechanism-based strain gradient plasticity (SGP) theories. Microstructure length scales calculated based analysis. These shown to vary with size. A...
The SuperKEKB was designed and constructed as the upgraded accelerator of KEKB. In this design, nano-beam scheme collision applied a luminosity 8 × 1035 cm−2s−1 targeted. beam final focus system key component in hardware elements. This consists 55 superconducting magnets. paper, designs magnets, cryostats cryogenic are shown, field measurement results reported. operation with started on 2018 March 19, magnet quench events up to 2020 December 16 described.
The construction of SuperKEKB, which consists 7 GeV electron and 4 positron main rings, is now going on. final focus superconducting quadrupole magnets in the interaction region have been designed constructed. From field qualities prototype magnets, magnet designs were modified, manufacturing assembling methods coils changed to satisfy design values. measurements performed at room temperature, confirmed that they acceptable for beam operation. In paper, QC1, will be located closest position...
We extensively explore the experimentally proposed metallic structure of hcp P63 for hydrogen rich compound, SiH4. It is found that lattice dynamic this severely unstable. By freezing soften mode, an orthorhombic Pbcn discovered to be dynamically stable up 226 GPa. Within conventional BCS theory, calculated critical temperature Tc within 16.5K at 188GPa, in good agreement with experimental result (17.5K). Thus, we propose current predicted phase a better candidate
The SuperKEKB project underway at KEK will increase the KEKB luminosity by 40 times using nanobeam-interaction-region focusing optics. To achieve this high luminosity, chromaticity correction of collision beams is crucial; thus, special sextupole magnets, which can simultaneously produce normal and skew fields, are required in straight sections around interaction point. As a candidate for sextupole, cryocooled high-temperature superconducting magnet was proposed; development has begun. Here,...
The main linacs of the International Linear Collider are composed 1824 cryomodules. As part R&D on cryomodule, simplifications design were considered to reduce construction and installation costs, including possibility removing a portion 5 K thermal shield. For this investigation heat load measurements 6 meter cryomodule with without shield performed, used determine emissivity coefficients. A model full was then created, loads set lower calculated these parameters. By using modified cooling...
Mechanical deformation can lead to various surface changes such as electronic behavior. The effect of on work function (WF) has been studied extensively, but the mechanism responsible for unclear. In this study, we measured variations in WF typically an Al–Mn alloy with respect under dynamic tensile conditions using a scanning Kelvin probe. Furthermore, also investigate contribution morphology, represented by roughness, caused different WF. It was demonstrated that depends strongly both and...
The construction of a final focusing superconducting magnet system for SuperKEKB is underway. consists eight quadrupole magnets, four compensation solenoids, and 43 corrector coils. They are installed inside the particle detector, i.e., Belle-II, which has solenoid generating 1.5 T in center. Four solenoids produce magnetic field with opposite direction to Belle-II reduce X - Y coupling collision beams achieve high luminosity 8 × 10 <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...
