The Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider has collected almost 1 billion Y(4S) events in its decade of operation. Super-KEKB, an upgrade is under construction, to increase luminosity by two orders magnitude during a three-year shutdown, with ultimate goal 8E35 /cm^2 /s luminosity. To exploit increased luminosity, been proposed. A new international collaboration Belle-II, being formed. Technical Design Report presents physics motivation, basic methods accelerator upgrade, as...
The dark photon ${A}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ and the Higgs boson ${h}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ are hypothetical constituents featured in a number of recently proposed sector models. Assuming prompt decays both particles, we search for their production so-called Higgstrahlung channel ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{A}^{\ensuremath{'}}{h}^{\ensuremath{'}}$, with ${h}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{A}^{\ensuremath{'}}{A}^{\ensuremath{'}}$. We investigate ten exclusive final...
We have made a precise measurement of the absolute branching fractions Bs->Ds(*)+ Ds(*)- decays using 121.4 fb-1 data recorded by Belle experiment running on Upsilon(5S) resonance. The results are B(Bs0->Ds+ Ds-) = (0.58 +0.11 -0.09 +-0.13)%, B(Bs0->Ds*+- Ds-+) (1.8 +-0.2 +-0.4)%, and B(Bs0->Ds*+ Ds*-) (2.0 +-0.3 +-0.5)%; sum is B(Bs0->Ds(*)+ (4.3 +-0.4 +-1.0)%. Assuming saturates to CP-even final states, fraction constrains ratio Delta(Gamma_s)/cos(phi_s), where Delta(Gamma_s) difference in...
We report preliminary results on the analysis of three-body Y(10860)=> B barB pi, Y(10860) => (B barB* + c.c.) pi and B* decays including an observation Zb(10610)+- pi-+ [B barB*+c.c]+- Zb(10650)+- [B* barB*]+- as intermediate channels. measure branching fractions to be Br(Y(10860)=> barB*+c.c.]+- pi-+)=(28.3+-2.9+-4.6)x10^{-3} pi-+)=(14.1+-1.9+-2.4)x10^{-3} set 90% C.L. upper limit barB]+- pi-+)<4.0x10^{-3}. also amplitude Y(10860)=>Y(nS)pi+pi-, n=1,2,3 internal structure...
We report a measurement of the time-integrated $CP$ asymmetry in neutral charm meson decay $D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S$ using 921~fb$^{-1}$ data collected at $Υ(4S)$ and $Υ(5S)$ resonances with Belle detector KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The observed is $$ A_{CP}(D^0 K^0_S) = (-0.02 \pm 1.53 0.17) \%, where first uncertainty statistical second systematic. This latter dominated by error normalisation channel. result consistent Standard Model expectations improves respect to previous...
We have developed a new type of particle identification device, called an aerogel ring imaging Cherenkov (ARICH) counter, for the Belle II experiment. It uses silica tiles as radiators. For detection photons, hybrid avalanche photo-detectors (HAPDs) are used. The designed HAPD has high sensitivity to single photons under strong magnetic field. confirmed that provides efficiency single-photon even after exposure neutron and |$\gamma $|-ray radiation exceeds levels expected in 10-year...
We present an extraction of azimuthal correlations between two pairs charged pions detected in opposite jets from electron-positron annihilation. These may arise the dependence di-pion fragmentation on polarization parent quark process $e^+e^- \rightarrow q \bar{q}$. Due to correlation polarizations, cross-section pair production, which pion are a dijet event, exhibits modulation angles planes containing hadron with respect production plane. The measurement this allows access combinations...
We present a measurement of the time-dependent $CP$ violation parameters in $B^0\to\eta'K^0$ decays. The is based on full data sample containing $772\times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance using Belle detector KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. measured values mixing-induced and direct are: \begin{align} \sin 2 \phi^{\rm eff}_1 &= +0.68\pm 0.07 \pm 0.03, \nonumber \\ \mathcal{A}_{\eta'K^0} +0.03\pm 0.05\pm 0.04, \end{align} where first uncertainty...
We report new measurements of the production cross sections pairs charged pions and kaons as a function their fractional energies using various fractional-energy definitions. Two different definitions were used compared to conventional definition reported previously. The variables aim at either identifying dihadron in terms single-hadron fragmentation functions, or provide means characterizing transverse momentum created process. results obtained applying updated initial-state radiation...
We analyze the equal-time Bethe-Salpeter quark wave function of pion obtained from a quenched lattice QCD calculation with delocalized interpolators. find that result agrees remarkably well predictions Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model in all channels. choose QCD, since it is closer to large-Nc limit model. also show how transversity information, relevant for light-cone physics, can be our rest-frame calculations.
On-detector digital electronics in High-Energy Physics experiments is increasingly being implemented by means of SRAM-based FPGA, due to their capabilities reconfiguration, real-time processing and multi-gigabit data transfer. Radiation-induced single event upsets the configuration hinder correct operation, since they may alter programmed routing paths logic functions. In most trigger acquisition systems, from several front-end modules are concentrated into a board, which then transmits...
We study the rare hadronic transitions $\Upsilon(2S)\rightarrow \Upsilon(1S)\eta$ and \Upsilon(1S)\pi^0$ using a sample of 158 $\times 10^6$ $\Upsilon(2S)$ decays collected with Belle detector at KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. observe $\eta$ meson decay to $\gamma\gamma$ $\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$ final states; $\Upsilon(1S)$ is reconstructed in $\mu^+\mu^-$ $e^+e^-$ modes. measure ratios branching fractions (${\mathcal B}$) $\frac{{\mathcal...
