The Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider has collected almost 1 billion Y(4S) events in its decade of operation. Super-KEKB, an upgrade is under construction, to increase luminosity by two orders magnitude during a three-year shutdown, with ultimate goal 8E35 /cm^2 /s luminosity. To exploit increased luminosity, been proposed. A new international collaboration Belle-II, being formed. Technical Design Report presents physics motivation, basic methods accelerator upgrade, as...
We present improved measurements of $CP$-violation parameters in ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}^{0}$, ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}{K}^{0}$, ${K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}$ decays based on a sample $535\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with Belle detector KEKB energy-asymmetric ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. obtain...
We report measurements of CP violation parameters in B0→K0Sπ0γ transitions based on a data sample 535×106B¯¯¯B pairs collected with the Belle detector at KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. One neutral B meson is fully reconstructed mode. The flavor accompanying identified from its decay products. obtain time-dependent and direct S A for K0Sπ0 invariant mass up to 1.8 GeV/c2 as SK0Sπ0γ=−0.10±0.31±0.07 AK0Sπ0γ=−0.20±0.20±0.06. For near K*0(892) resonance, we SK*0γ=−0.32+0.36−0.33±0.05...
This document is the final report by Committee on Scientific Case of ILC Operating at 250 GeV as a Higgs Factory. committee was commissioned Japan Association High Energy Physicists. The purpose this to investigate and compare capability determine energy scale new phenomena principles uncover origin matter-antimatter asymmetry.
We report a measurement of the time-integrated $CP$ asymmetry in neutral charm meson decay $D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S$ using 921~fb$^{-1}$ data collected at $Υ(4S)$ and $Υ(5S)$ resonances with Belle detector KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The observed is $$ A_{CP}(D^0 K^0_S) = (-0.02 \pm 1.53 0.17) \%, where first uncertainty statistical second systematic. This latter dominated by error normalisation channel. result consistent Standard Model expectations improves respect to previous...
We present a measurement of $CP$-violation parameters in the ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}$ decay based on sample $275\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected at $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with Belle detector KEKB energy-asymmetric ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. One neutral $B$ meson is fully reconstructed ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}$, and flavor accompanying...
In this note, we compile results of various simulation studies for the upgrade Belle detector. Based on these studies, propose a set optimum or appropriate parameters
We present an extraction of azimuthal correlations between two pairs charged pions detected in opposite jets from electron-positron annihilation. These may arise the dependence di-pion fragmentation on polarization parent quark process $e^+e^- \rightarrow q \bar{q}$. Due to correlation polarizations, cross-section pair production, which pion are a dijet event, exhibits modulation angles planes containing hadron with respect production plane. The measurement this allows access combinations...
We describe a new pixel detector development project using 0.15 μm fully-depleted CMOS SOI (silicon-on-insulator) technology. Additional processing steps for creating substrate implants and contacts to form sensor electrode connections were developed this process. A diode test element group several chips have been fabricated evaluated. The detectors are successfully operated first images taken sensibility β-rays is confirmed. Back gate effects on the top circuits observed discussed.
We report the first measurement of CP-violation parameters in B0→ρ0γ decays based on a data sample 657×106B¯¯¯B pairs collected with Belle detector at KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. obtain time-dependent and direct CP-violating parameters, Sρ0γ=−0.83±0.65(stat)±0.18(syst) Aρ0γ=−0.44±0.49(stat)±0.14(syst), respectively.Received 18 September 2007DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.100.021602©2008 American Physical Society
