We use 772$\times 10^6$ $B \bar{B}$ meson pairs collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with Belle detector to measure branching fraction for $\bar{B} \rightarrow X_s \gamma$. Our measurement uses a sum-of-exclusives approach in which 38 of hadronic final states strangeness equal $+1$, denoted by $X_s$, are reconstructed. The inclusive $M_{X_s}<$ 2.8 GeV/$c^2$, corresponds minimum photon energy 1.9 GeV, is measured be ${\cal B}(\bar{B} \gamma)=(3.51\pm0.17\pm0.33)\times10^{-4}$, where...
Several strong TeV γ-ray flares were detected from Mrk 421 in the years 2000 and 2001 by Tibet III air shower array at a level of statistical significance 5.1 σ. was unprecedentedly active X-ray energies during this period, positive correlation found between change all-sky monitor Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer flux flux. When power-law energy spectrum for γ-rays source is assumed, spectral index calculated to be -3.24 ± 0.69 most phase 2001. The observed consistent with those obtained via...
Abstract Gamma rays from HESS J1849−000, a middle-aged TeV pulsar wind nebula (PWN), are observed by the Tibet air shower array and muon detector array. The detection significance of gamma reaches 4.0 σ 4.4 levels above 25 100 TeV, respectively, in units Gaussian standard deviation . energy spectrum measured between 40 < E 320 for first time is described with simple power-law function <?CDATA ${dN}/{dE}={(2.86\pm 1.44)\times {10}^{-16}(E/40\,\mathrm{TeV})}^{-2.24\pm...
The differential cross sections and decay angular distributions for coherent $\phi$-meson photoproduction from helium-4 have been measured the first time at forward angles with linearly polarized photons in energy range $E_{\gamma} = \text{1.685-2.385 GeV}$. Thanks to target spin-parity $J^{P} 0^{+}$, unnatural-parity exchanges are prohibited, thus natural-parity can be investigated clearly. asymmetry respect photon polarization is shown very close maximal value. This ensures dominance ($>...
A general method is presented for estimating the effect caused by a small change in boundary shape (or hypersurface many-dimensional space, time-coordinate being included) upon solutions or eigenvalues of linear partial differential equations (elliptic, parabolic hyperbolic). When given slightly deformed from favorable obtaining solutions, this gives approximate based exact unperturbed ones case shape, where many can be obtained easier. The following illustrative examples are given, showing...
The silicon-strip vertex detector in the Belle II experiment is one of essential detectors to search for physics beyond Standard Model. To read out all 223,744 readout strips double-sided silicon strip high beam background, 1748 APV25 chips are employed frontend electronics.Hence, flash analog-to-digital conversion with high-density inputs required on back-end electronics. We developed prototypes electronics and successfully performed a full integration test at DESY electron line.In this...
We investigated the performance of a portable all-electronic 3D THz imaging system for detection hidden structural defects in buildings. In field study, seismologically damaged walls different types were inspected, including tiled and wooden structures covered by surface layers.
We searched for steady PeV gamma-ray emission from the Monogem ring region with Tibet air shower array 1997 February to 2004 October. No evidence statistically significant signals was found in a 111° ≤ R.A. < 114°, 125 decl. 155 where MAKET-ANI experiment recently claimed positive detection of high-energy cosmic radiation, although our flux sensitivity is approximately 10 times better than MAKET-ANI's. set most stringent integral upper limit at 99% confidence level 4.0 × 10-12 cm-2 s-1 sr-1...
Recent results and future prospects of the Tibet air-shower experiment are reported on all-particle energy spectrum chemical composition cosmic rays around 10 15 eV range. The knee has been clearly observed at 4 ×10 by III array located Yangbajing, Tibet, China (atmospheric depth 606 g/cm 2 , area 37,000 m ). light components (protons helium) measured air-shower-core detector exhibits steeper power index than that direct measurements below 14 eV, leading to decreasing fraction component...
Abstract Cosmic rays do not arrive at the Earth uniformly. Recent experiments have consistently observed small anisotropies with amplitudes of ∼0.2% in arrival directions cosmic TeV energies. We perform modeling cosmic-ray anisotropy energies using intensity-mapping method based on Liouville’s theorem. This work indicates unrealistically small-scale ansiotropies <∼10° angular scales distribution relative intensity outer boundary heliosphere. would possibly need to resolve an issue that...
Here are studied some types of differential equations the fourth order, to which so-called W.K.B. method can be easily extended, and presented exemplifying solutions up first order approximation. As a physical example, equation lateral bending vibration not-completely flexible string, whose cross section finite size is slowly varying along its length, ends both clamped, solved. It also shown that terms third differentation linear eliminated by suitable transformation.
The “Boundary-Perturbation Method” i.e. a general method for estimating the effect caused by small change in shape of boundary (or, hypersurface many-dimensional space, time-coordinate being included) upon solutions or eigenvalues linear partial differential equations, which was presented case scalar fields earlier (J. Phys. Soc. Japan 15(1960) 2069), is developed to tensor and formulated so as permit their immediate use. Some examples are given illustrate method.
Recombination indexes were measured among six Trp− mutants of Thermus thermophilus HB27 by reciprocal transformation the mutants. Based on index values, order and distance four closely located mutation sites predicted. Cloning sequence analysis revealed that predicted from values correct. A similar relationship between value real was also obtained for two Pro− These results suggest can be used as a tool genetic fine mapping in T. thermophilus.
