The Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider has collected almost 1 billion Y(4S) events in its decade of operation. Super-KEKB, an upgrade is under construction, to increase luminosity by two orders magnitude during a three-year shutdown, with ultimate goal 8E35 /cm^2 /s luminosity. To exploit increased luminosity, been proposed. A new international collaboration Belle-II, being formed. Technical Design Report presents physics motivation, basic methods accelerator upgrade, as...
We report the results of a search for charmonium-like state produced in process gamma --> omega J/psi 3.9-4.2 GeV/c^2 mass region. observe significant enhancement, which is well-described by resonant shape with M = (3915 +/- 3 2) MeV/c^2 and total width Gamma (17 10 3) MeV. This enhancement may be related to one or more three states so far reported 3.90-3.95
The interference fragmentation function translates the of a quark with transverse projection spin into an azimuthal asymmetry two final-state hadrons. In e+e- annihilation product functions is measured. We report nonzero asymmetries for pairs charge-ordered pi+pi- pairs, which indicate significant in this channel. results are obtained from 672 fb-1 data sample that contains 711 \times 106 and was collected at near ?(4S) resonance, Belle detector KEKB asymmetric-energy collider.
We report results on time-dependent $CP$ asymmetries in $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*\ensuremath{\mp}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ decays based a data sample containing $657\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected with the Belle detector at KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance. use partial reconstruction technique, wherein signal events are identified using information...
The invariant mass spectrum of the ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ final state produced in two-photon collisions is obtained using a $673\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ data sample collected vicinity $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with Belle detector at KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. We observe clear signal ${\ensuremath{\eta}}_{c}(1S)$ and measure its width to be...
We report a measurement of the time-integrated $CP$ asymmetry in neutral charm meson decay $D^0 \to K^0_S K^0_S$ using 921~fb$^{-1}$ data collected at $Υ(4S)$ and $Υ(5S)$ resonances with Belle detector KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. The observed is $$ A_{CP}(D^0 K^0_S) = (-0.02 \pm 1.53 0.17) \%, where first uncertainty statistical second systematic. This latter dominated by error normalisation channel. result consistent Standard Model expectations improves respect to previous...
Using a sample of 102 million $\Upsilon(1S)$ events collected with the Belle detector, we report on first search for charge-parity-even charmonium and charmonium-like states in radiative decays. No significant $\chi_{cJ}$ or $\eta_c$ signal is observed 90% C.L. limits $\BR(\Upsilon(1S)\to \gamma \chi_{c0})<6.5 \times 10^{-4}$, \chi_{c1})<2.3\times 10^{-5}$, \chi_{c2})<7.6 10^{-6}$, \eta_c)<5.7\times 10^{-5}$ are obtained. The product branching fraction X(3872))...
We present an extraction of azimuthal correlations between two pairs charged pions detected in opposite jets from electron-positron annihilation. These may arise the dependence di-pion fragmentation on polarization parent quark process $e^+e^- \rightarrow q \bar{q}$. Due to correlation polarizations, cross-section pair production, which pion are a dijet event, exhibits modulation angles planes containing hadron with respect production plane. The measurement this allows access combinations...
We study charmless B+ meson decays to the pΛ¯π+π− final state using a 605 fb−1 data sample collected at Υ(4S) resonance with Belle detector KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. There are significant signals found pΛ¯ mass peaking near threshold. The observed branching fraction for nonresonant B+→pΛ¯π+π− is (5.92−0.84+0.88(stat)±0.69(syst))×10−6 significance of 9.1 standard deviations. also observe intermediate three-body decay B+→pΛ¯ρ0 (4.78−0.64+0.67(stat)±0.60(syst))×10−6 and 9.5...
We report results on the studies of $e^+e^-\to B_s^{(*)}\bar{B}_s^{(*)}$ processes. The are based a $121.4$ fb$^{-1}$ data sample collected with Belle detector at center-of-mass energy near $Υ(10860)$ peak and $16.4$ 19 points in range from 10.77 to 11.02 GeV. observe clear $e^+e^-\toΥ(10860)\to signal, no statistically significant signal Υ(11020)\to B_s^{(*)}\bar{B}_s^{(*)}$. relative production ratio $B_s^*\bar{B}_s^*$, $B_s\bar{B}_s^{*}$, $B_s\bar{B}_s$ final states $\sqrt{s}=10.866$ GeV...
The differential cross section of the process gamma -> pi^0 has been measured in kinematical range 0.6 GeV < W 4.0 and |cos theta*|<0.8 energy pion scattering angle, respectively, center-of-mass system. We find at least four resonant structures including a peak from f_0(980). In addition, there is evidence for chi_{c0} production. also make preliminary discussion angular dependence ratio to pi^+ pi^-.
The article raises the question of meaning and functions song refrain its connection main verses. As a result analysis couplet songs from movie “June 31” (words by R. Kazakova, L. Derbenev, Yu. Entin) we came to conclusion that refrain, as recurring element song, performs several functions: reveals inner world lyrical hero, his values, emotions; expresses idea work; concisely plot. is combined with verses, most often principle “part – whole”, sometimes oppositions. There are differences...
We report the results of a search for X(1835) state in process e+e−→J/ψX(1835) using data sample 672 fb−1 collected with Belle detector at and near Υ(4S) resonance KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. No significant evidence is found this process, an upper limit set on its cross section times branching fraction: σBorn(e+e−→J/ψX(1835))⋅B(X(1835)→≥3 charged tracks)<1.3 fb 90% confidence level.Received 25 November 2013DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.89.032003© 2014 American Physical Society
We report a measurement of the amplitude ratio $r_S$ $B^0 \to D^0K^{*0}$ and \bar{D^0}K^{*0}$ decays with model-independent Dalitz plot analysis using $D\to K_S^0\pi^+\pi^-$ decays. Using full data sample $772\times10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance Belle detector KEKB accelerator upper limit is $r_S < 0.87$ 68 % confidence level. This result first analysis, consistent results from other analyses. The value indicates sensitivity decay to $\phi_3$ because statistical...
