For the developement of bio-PIXE, two problems remain to be solved; one in accelerator availability and other data analysis. To improve former, a method applying baby cyclotrons PIXE has been developed. solve latter, computer program SAPIX for x-ray spectrum analysis ,which runs on ordinary personal computers is fairly easy operate Examples spectral fitting by description are given. Further, two-detector measuring system which we have employed simultaneous determination all elements reported.
The design progress in a compact low aspect ratio (low A ) DEMO reactor, ‘SlimCS’, and its issues are reported. study focused mainly on the torus configuration including blanket, divertor, materials maintenance scheme. For continuity with Japanese ITER-TBM, blanket is based water-cooled solid breeder blanket. vertical stability of elongated plasma high beta access, segmented into replaceable permanent blankets sector-wide conducting shell arranged inbetween these blankets. numerical...
The energy spacing of the spin-doublet states in ${}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}^{4}$He hypernucleus indicate a large spin dependent charge symmetry breaking $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}N$ interaction.
The effects of hydrogen annealing on capacitance–voltage (C–V) characteristics and interface-state density (Dit) 4H–SiC metal–oxide–semiconductor (MOS) structures have been investigated. Dit was reduced to as low 1×1011 eV−1 cm−2 at Ec−E=0.6 eV using above 800 °C, where Ec−E is the energy level from conduction-band edge. Secondary ion mass spectroscopy analysis revealed that decreased with increase concentration accumulated SiO2/4H–SiC interface. interface states are thought be originated...
Photoemission and bremsstrahlung isochromat spectra have been measured on TiO 2 (rutile) SrTiO 3 . The magnitudes of the fundamental band gaps estimated from combined agree well with results photoabsorption energy-band calculations. profiles observed do not reveal fine structure expected to occur in density-of-states curves obtained by energy calculations, suggesting existence a mechanism smear out considerably. are used interpret charge-transfer-type satellite manifest core-level spectra....
We have measured the proton energy distribution from 4He(stopped K−,p) reaction by means of time-of-flight. A mono-energetic peak was observed, which is interpreted as formation a new kind neutral tribaryon S0(3115) with isospin T=1 and strangeness S=−1. The mass width state were deduced to be 3117.0−4.4+1.5MeV/c2 <21MeV/c2, respectively. mainly decays into ΣNN.
The first dedicated search for the rare neutral-kaon decay $K_L^0\to\pi^0\nu\bar{\nu}$ has been carried out in E391a experiment at KEK 12-GeV proton synchrotron. final upper limit of 2.6 $\times 10^{-8}$ 90% confidence level was set on branching ratio decay.
Using 605 fb−1 of data collected at the Υ(4S) resonance we present a measurement inclusive radiative B-meson decay channel, B→Xsγ. For lower photon energy thresholds 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, and 2.0 GeV, as defined in rest frame B meson, measure partial branching fraction mean variance spectrum. At 1.7 GeV threshold obtain BF(B→Xsγ)=(3.45±0.15±0.40)×10−4, where errors are statistical systematic.Received 8 July 2009DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.103.241801©2009 American Physical Society
The full tungsten divertor qualification program was defined for the R&D activity in domestic agencies. consists of two steps: (i) technology development and validation (ii) a full-scale demonstration. Small-scale mock-ups were manufactured Japanese European industries delivered to ITER test facility Russia high heat flux testing. In parallel program, both agencies demonstrated that W monoblock technologies withstanding up 20 MW m−2 available.
Power exhaust to the divertor and conceptual design have been investigated for a steady-state DEMO in Japan with 1.5 GW-level fusion power major radius of 8.5 m, where plasma parameters were revised appropriate impurity seeding scenario. A system code survey Ar suggested volume-averaged density, concentration from main = 205–285 MW. The simulation (SONIC) was performed leg length 1.6 m fixed edge 250 MW total radiation fraction at edge, SOL ( 0.8), as first step investigate size geometry. At...
We observed a distinct peak in the Λp invariant mass spectrum of He3(K−,Λp)n, well below mK+2mp, i.e., threshold K− to be bound two protons. By selecting relatively large momentum-transfer region q=350∼650 MeV/c, one can kinematically separate from quasi-free process, K‾N→K‾N followed by non-resonant absorption spectator-nucleons K‾NN→ΛN. found that simplest fit gives us Breit–Wigner pole position at BKpp=47±3(stat.)−6+3(sys.) MeV having width ΓKpp=115±7(stat.)−20+10(sys.) MeV, and S-wave...
This paper presents an approach we have recently developed for multi-robot cooperation. It is based on a paradigm where robots incrementally merge their plans into set of already coordinated plans. done through exchange information about current state and future actions. leads to generic framework which can be applied variety tasks applications. The paradigm, called plan-merging presented illustrated its application planning, execution control large fleet autonomous mobile load transport in...
Effects of hydrogen postoxidation annealing (H/sub 2/ POA) on 4H-silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs with wet gate oxide the (112~0) face have been investigated. As a result, an inversion channel mobility 110 cm/sup 2//Vs was successfully achieved using H/sub POA at 800/spl deg/C for 30 min. reduces interface trap density by about one order magnitude compared that without POA, resulting in considerable improvement to 3.5 times higher than POA. In addition, 4H-SiC MOSFET has lower threshold voltage...
We have measured the Balmer-series x-rays of kaonic $^4$He atoms using novel large-area silicon drift x-ray detectors in order to study low-energy $\bar{K}$-nucleus strong interaction. The energy $3d \to 2p$ transition was determined be 6467 $\pm$ 3 (stat) 2 (syst) eV. resulting strong-interaction energy-level shift is agreement with theoretical calculations, thus eliminating a long-standing discrepancy between theory and experiment.
