The differential cross sections of the Σ^{-}p→Λn reaction were measured accurately for Σ^{-} momentum (p_{Σ}) ranging from 470 to 650 MeV/c at J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility. Precise angular information about was obtained first time by detecting approximately 100 events each step Δcosθ=0.1. show a slightly forward-peaking structure in regions. integrated -0.7≤cosθ≤1.0 as 22.5±0.68 [statistical error(stat.)] ±0.65 [systematic error(syst.)] mb and 15.8±0.83(stat)±0.52(syst)...
A high statistics $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}p$ scattering experiment is performed at the J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility. Momentum-tagged ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}}^{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{s}$ running in a liquid hydrogen target are accumulated by detecting ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ reaction with intensity ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ beam of 20 M/spill. The differential cross...
We conducted the coincidence measurement of $\alpha$ particles inelastically scattered from ${}^{20}$Ne at $0^{\circ}$ and decay charged in order to search for alpha-particle condensed state. compared measured excitation-energy spectrum branching ratio with statistical-decay-model calculations, found that newly observed states $E_x$ = 23.6, 21.8, 21.2 MeV are strongly coupled a candidate 4$\alpha$ state ${}^{16}$O. This result presents first strong evidence these candidates 5$\alpha$
The triple alpha reaction is one of the most important reactions in nuclear astrophysics. However, its rate high temperature environments at T9> 2 was still uncertain. One major origins uncertainty that radiative-decay probability 31− state 12C unknown. In present work, we have determined to be 1.3−1.1+1.2×10−6 by measuring 1H(12C,12Cp) for first time, and derived from measured probability. result suggests noticeably enhances although contribution had been assumed small.
A new hyperon-proton scattering experiment, dubbed J-PARC E40, was performed to measure differential cross sections of the Σ + p , − elastic scatterings and → Λ n by identifying a lot particles in momentum ranging from 0.4 0.8 GeV/ c produced π ± K reactions. We successfully measured these three channels with drastically improved accuracy fine angular step. These data will become important experimental constraints improve theories two-body baryon-baryon interactions. Following this success,...
The mini proceedings of the "Fourth International Workshop on Extension Project for J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility (HEF-ex 2024) [https://kds.kek.jp/event/46965]" held at J-PARC, February 19-21, 2024, are presented. workshop was devoted to discussing physics case that connects both present and future covering a wide range topics in flavor, hadron, nuclear related experimental theoretical activities being conducted facility.

We performed Ξ hypernuclear spectroscopy with the (K−, K+) reaction at J-PARC to investigate ΞN interaction (J-PARC E05). A new experiment E70) in which a better energy resolution could be achieved is now being prepared. In this article, an analysis status of E05 and preparation E70 are described.
In the K1.8 beam-line at Hadron Experimental Facility of J-PARC, a new magnetic spectrometer S-2S is being installed. was designed to achieve high momentum resolution Δ p / = 6 × 10 −4 in FWHM. Several strangeness-physics programs which require will be realized by S-2S. The present article introduces J-PARC E70 (missing-mass spectroscopy Ξ 12 Be) and E94 Λ 7 Li, B, C) experiments.
A high statistics $\Sigma p$ scattering experiment has been performed at the J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility. Data for momentum-tagged $\Sigma^{-}$ running in a liquid hydrogen target were accumulated by detecting $\pi^{-}p \to K^{+}\Sigma^{-}$ reaction with intensity $\pi^{-}$ beam of 20 M/spill. Differential cross sections $\Sigma^{-}p$ elastic derived drastically improved accuracy identifying largest about 4,500 events from 1.72 $\times$ $10^{7}$ $\Sigma^{-}$. The differential section...
Abstract We performed a novel Σ+p scattering experiment at the J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility. Approximately 2400 elastic events were identified from 4.9 × 107 tagged Σ+ particles in momentum range 0.44–0.80 GeV/c. The differential cross sections of derived with much better precision than previous experiments. obtained approximately 2 mb/sr or less, which not as large those predicted by fss2 and FSS models based on quark cluster model short-range region. By performing phase-shift...
We are planning to carry out a high-resolution spectroscopy of Ξ hypernucleus at the J-PARC K1.8 beamline, which provides highintensity K − beam (J-PARC E70 experiment). The aims be realized by introducing new magnetic spectrometer S-2S and an active fiber target AFT. In this article, role AFT in experiment its development status described.
We present a new proposal, J-PARC E90, to measure missing-mass spectrum near the Σ N threshold for d ( K − , π ) reactions at 1.4 GeV/ c . While many previous experiments support apparent enhancement ΣN thresh-old, dynamical origin of this so-called “Σ cusp” remains yet unsolved. The suggests either cusp structure or weakly bound state. One keys making it clear is improving resolution and statistics. Our experiment can achieve 0.4 MeV in σ using K1.8 beam line S-2S spectrometers J-PARC....
X-ray spectroscopy of hadronic atoms is a powerful method to study strong interaction between hadrons and nuclei. At J-PARC, we have conducted two experiments, J-PARC E07 E03, for with doubly strange hyperon, Ξ − , aiming at the world-first detection their X-rays. The first measurement performed as byproduct experiment hybrid emulsion technique. second one, dedicated Fe atom X rays. preliminary results present status E03 are shown in this article. Future prospects -atomic also discussed. A...
