In an emulsion-counter hybrid experiment performed at J-PARC, a $Ξ^-$ absorption event was observed which decayed into twin single-$Λ$ hypernuclei. Kinematic calculations enabled unique identification of the reaction process as $Ξ^{-} + ^{14}$N$\ \rightarrow\ ^{10}_Λ$Be $^5_Λ$He. For binding energy $Ξ^{-}$ hyperon in $Ξ^-$-$^{14}$N system value $1.27 \pm 0.21$ MeV deduced. The level is likely nuclear $1p$ state indicates weak $ΞN$-$ΛΛ$ coupling.
This article reviews the nature and history of discovery high-quality natural modes existing on periodic arrays many subwavelength scatterers; such can be viewed as specific periodically structured open resonators. These grating (GMs), like any other modes, give rise to associated resonances in electromagnetic-wave scattering absorption. Their complex wavelengths are always located very close (but not exactly at) well-known Rayleigh anomalies (RAs), determined only by period angle incidence....
Life-size humanoids which have the same joint arrangement as humans are expected to help in living environment. In this case, they require high load operations such gripping and conveyance of heavy load, holding people at care spot. However, these difficult for existing because their low output. Therefore, purpose study is develop highoutput life-size humanoid robot. We first designed a motor driver with featuring small, water-cooled, output, it performed higher output than utilizing. paper,...
A double-$\Lambda$ hypernucleus, ${}_{\Lambda\Lambda}\mathrm{Be}$, was observed by the J-PARC E07 collaboration in nuclear emulsions tagged $(K^{-},K^{+})$ reaction. This event interpreted as a production and decay of $ {}_{\Lambda\Lambda}^{\;10}\mathrm{Be}$, ${}_{\Lambda\Lambda}^{\;11}\mathrm{Be}$, or ${}_{\Lambda\Lambda}^{\;12}\mathrm{Be}^{*}$ via $\Xi^{-}$ capture ${}^{16}\mathrm{O}$. By assuming atomic 3D state, binding energy two $\Lambda$ hyperons$\,$($B_{\Lambda\Lambda}$) these...
We investigate the emission of waves by a thin silver nanostrip placed into center circular quantum wire (QWR), in visible-light range. Our analysis uses mathematically grounded approach called lasing eigenvalue problem (LEP). Keeping mind that at threshold lasing-mode frequency is real valued (does not attenuate time), LEP formulated as boundary-value for Maxwell equations with exact boundary conditions and Sommerfeld radiation condition. The eigenvalues are pairs numbers, where first...
Abstract The diffraction by a finite parallel‐plate waveguide cavity with perfect electric conductor loading is rigorously analysed for the E‐polarised case using Wiener–Hopf technique. By taking Fourier transform to unknown scattered field and applying boundary conditions in transformed domain, problem formulated terms of simultaneous equations. These equations are solved factorisation decomposition procedure. solution exact but formal because it involves branch‐cut integrals integrands an...
Abstract The Editors thank the 2024 peer reviewers. As you are aware, journal Radio Science (RDS) publishes original research papers on electromagnetic propagation and its applications. In 2024, we received a total of 206 manuscripts for consideration publication in RDS. We tried very carefully to find reviewers who were best fit topics manuscripts. You worked hard peer‐review process gave us excellent evaluations. Our would never have kept high reputation without your continued efforts....
As a generalization of the Gamma function defined for single complex variable, new special called generalized function, two variables and positive integer, is introduced, several important analytical properties are investigated in detail, which include regularity, asymptotic expansions analytic continuations. Furthermore, as closely related to incomplete also some fundamental briefly.
A new method of free-form deformation, t-FFD, is proposed. An original shape large-scale polygonal mesh or point-cloud deformed by using a control mesh, which constituted set triangles with arbitrary topology and geometry, including the cases disconnection self-intersection. For modeling purposes, designer can handle directly indirectly, also locally globally. This works on simple mapping mechanism. First, each point parametrized local coordinate system triangle mesh. After modifying mapped...

High-frequency diffraction by a strip was previously analyzed approximately the Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD), but GTD solution has an essential difficulty that it is valid only in limited range incidence and observation angles.
