We present an improved measurement of the branching fraction for electroweak penguin process $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{X}_{s}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, where $\ensuremath{\ell}$ is electron or a muon and ${X}_{s}$ hadronic system containing $s$-quark. The based on sample $152\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}B\overline{B}$ events collected with Belle detector at KEKB energy asymmetric...
Semi-inclusive proton and pion distributions from central Au+Au reactions at 11.6A GeV/c have been measured. The rapidity distribution shows significantly increased stopping compared to lighter systems, providing strong evidence for the formation of a state matter with baryon density substantially greater than normal nuclear matter. Unlike this energy induced by heavy ions, low mt−m0 invariant spectra deviate single exponential shape become flatter, while π− are found rise faster π+...
We present the first model-independent measurement of absolute branching fraction Λ(c)(+) → pK(-)π(+) decay using a data sample 978 fb(-1) collected with Belle detector at KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The number baryons is determined by reconstructing recoiling D((*)-) pπ(+) system in events type pπ(+)Λ(c)(+). measured to be B(Λ(c)(+) pK(-)π(+)) = (6.84 ± 0.24(-0.27)(+0.21))%, where and second uncertainties are statistical systematic, respectively.
We report results of a study doubly charmed baryons and strange baryons. Proton and deuteron distributions from $11.6A \mathrm{GeV}/c$ Au + collisions measured by the E802 Collaboration in experiment E-866 are presented. The invariant yield of protons deuterons is studied as a function transverse mass for different cuts rapidity centrality. At low ${m}_{t}\ensuremath{-}{m}_{0}$ proton spectra deviate single exponential shape. average ${m}_{t}$ centrality used to explore effect collective flow reaction. ratio squared momentum, rapidity, probe coalescence model...
An excitation function of proton rapidity distributions for different centralities is reported from AGS Experiment E917 $\mathrm{Au}+\mathrm{Au}$ collisions at 6, 8, and 10.8 GeV/nucleon. The peripheral have a valley midrapidity which smoothly change to that display broad peak central collisions. mean loss increases with increasing beam energy, whereas the fraction protons consistent isotropic emission stationary source decreases energy. data suggest stopping substantially less than complete...
Particle production in proton-induced reactions at 14.6 GeV/c on Be, Al, Cu, and Au targets has been systematically studied using the E-802 spectrometer BNL-Alternating Gradient Synchrotron. Particles are measured angular range from 5\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} to 58\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} identified up momenta of 5, 3.5, 8 for pions, kaons, protons, respectively. Mechanisms particle discussed comparison with heavy-ion-induced same incident energy per nucleon.

The AGS spectrometer experiment E-802 has measured transverse mass spectra for charged hadrons over a wide rapidity interval in Si+Au, Si+Cu, and Si+Al reactions at 14.6A Gev/c. These results are compared two different trigger conditions: central collisions corresponding to 7% of the inelastic cross section selected on multiplicity particles peripheral roughly 50% high kinetic energy zero degrees. invariant well described by exponentials allowing extraction distributions inverse slope...

In this paper Au+Au collisions at 11.6A GeV/c are characterized by two global observables: the energy measured near zero degrees (EZCAL) and total event multiplicity. Particle spectra for different classes that defined in a two-dimensional grid of both observables. For moderately central events (σ/σint<12%) proton dN/dy distributions do not depend on EZCAL but only contrast shape transverse shows little dependence The change suggests conditions formed collision classes. These studied signals...

Explaining biodiversity is a fundamental issue in ecology. A long-standing puzzle lies the paradox of plankton: many species plankton feeding on limited variety resources coexist, apparently flouting competitive exclusion principle (CEP), which holds that number predator (consumer) cannot exceed at steady state. Here, we present mechanistic model and demonstrate intraspecific interference among consumers enables plethora consumer to coexist constant population densities with only one or...

Antiproton production in $11.7A\mathrm{GeV}/c$ $\mathrm{Au}+\mathrm{Au}$ collisions over a wide transverse-mass coverage was studied using the AGS-E866 experimental apparatus. The mean transverse kinetic energy increases as function of centrality and is similar to that protons. antiproton yields $\mathrm{Si}+\mathrm{Al}$, $\mathrm{Si}+\mathrm{Au}$, are consistent with scaling 0.7 power number participant nucleons.
