The physical basis for the transparency of cornea to visible light is investigated theoretically in terms molecular structure as depicted by electron microscopy. Electron micrographs show that major portion contains long cylindrical fibrils arranged a quasi-random fashion, with local order extending over distances comparable wavelength light. Heretofore, generally accepted explanation has been supposed crystalline arrangement fibrils, because this was only distribution could ensure on simple...

Abstract A relationship has been derived between intraocular pressure and pulsatile blood flow in the eye. Measurements of show a time variation that is associated with component arterial pressure. Experimental results provide means transforming changes into ocular volume changes. The eye represented by chamber elastic walls, incoming incompressible fluid (blood), steady outgoing blood. Under these conditions, rate through can be approximated from instantaneous measurements. Data healthy...

Coupled ferromagnetic and ferroelectric materials, known as multiferroics, are an important class of materials that allow magnetism to be manipulated through the application electric fields. Bismuth ferrite, BiFeO3, is most-studied intrinsic magnetoelectric multiferroic because it maintains both magnetic ordering well above room temperature. Here we report use epitaxy-free wet chemical methods create strained nanoporous BiFeO3. We find material shows large changes in saturation magnetization...
