Abstract Low temperatures severely restrict melon seedling growth. However, the mechanisms by which adapts to cold stress are poorly understood. Arginine decarboxylase (ADC), a key synthetase, catalyzes putrescine biosynthesis in plants. In this study, we found that CmADC functions as positive regulator of tolerance. addition, two transcription factors, abscisic acid-responsive element (ABRE)-binding factor 1 (CmABF1) and C-repeat binding 4 (CmCBF4), directly target trigger its expression....

The flesh color of oriental melons is an important commercial trait that affects consumer preferences. To explore the mechanisms underlying formation and regulation during fruit ripening, carotenoid-targeted metabolomic RNA-seq analysis were conducted between white-fleshed (WF) orange-fleshed (OF) melon cultivars at different stages. indicated β-carotene was major metabolite caused differences in two cultivars. Additionally, through KEGG pathway enrichment weighted gene co-expression network...

Abstract Corn straw is an abundant and renewable alternative for microbial biopolymer production. In this paper, engineered Sphingomonas sanxanigenens NXG ‐P 916 capable of co‐utilising glucose xylose from corn total hydrolysate to produce xanthan gum was constructed. This strain obtained by introducing the synthetic operon as a module into genome constructed chassis NXdPE that could mass activated precursors polysaccharide, in which transcriptional levels genes were optimised screening more...

Pilot tone (PT) is a low frequency, small intensity modulation applied to high speed optical channel. Traditionally PT used for channel identification and power monitoring. A pilot scheme suitable performance monitoring (OPM) in coherent communication systems described. Two effects, Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) dispersion fading, are discussed. An important enhancement, multiband tone, introduced, which provides sub-channel capability. With the advanced technologies, signal spectrum,...

Chrysanthemum white rust (CWR), a disease caused by the fungus Puccinia horiana Henn., seriously impairs production and ornamental value of chrysanthemums. We previously isolated disease-resistance gene CmWRKY15-1 from chrysanthemum generated transgenic plants. Here, we determined that CmWRKY15-1-overexpressing lines susceptible cultivar 'Jinba' show higher defensive enzyme activity lower H2O2 levels than wild type after inoculation with P. horiana, indicating positively regulates plant...

Abstract As climate change intensifies, resulting in more severe rainfall events, coastal cities globally are witnessing significant life and property losses. A growingly crucial component for flood prevention relief urban storm simulations, which aid informed decision-making emergency management. The vastness of data the intricacies 3D computations can make visualizing effects on infrastructure daunting. This study offers a visualization repercussions hurricane surge flooding Galveston, TX...

Flood mitigation governance is critical for coastal regions where flooding has caused considerable damage. Raising the First-Floor Elevation (FFE) above base flood elevation (BFE) an effective measure buildings with a high risk of flooding. In U.S., measuring FFE necessary to obtain Certificate (E.C.) National Insurance Program (NFIP) and traditionally required labor-consuming field surveys. However, advances in computer vision technology have facilitated handling large image datasets,...

ITER plasma requires the use of an internal vertical stabilization (VS) coil set as part system for active control position. The required peak current and voltage VS power supply are order 60 kA 2.4 kV. Also, it needs short response time, less than 1 ms highly transient demand. This paper describes a conceptual design study in-vessel to judge feasibility estimate its cost. Finally, result will be used input data Tokamak building other interface systems.
