Plasmid-encoded toxin-antitoxin (TA) systems are known for their role in plasmid maintenance via post-segregational killing. Here, we identified an inactive type II TA system, MtvT/MtvA (MtvTA), encoded on the conjugative pPAD8 from clinical Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain PAD8. Despite its annotation as a toxin, MtvT exhibited no detectable toxicity our assays. Interestingly, deletion of MtvTA significantly increased transfer efficiency PAD8 to P. PAO1. Functional assays revealed that complex...

Abstract Precipitable water vapor (PWV) is an important parameter for climate research and a crucial factor to achieve high accuracy in satellite geodesy altimetry. Currently Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) PWV retrieval using static Precise Point Positioning limited ground stations. We demonstrated the kinematic method with shipborne GNSS observations during 20‐day experiment 2016 Fram Strait, region of Arctic Ocean between Greenland Svalbard. The shows agreement ~1.1 mm numerical...

Abstract Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) provide a promising opportunity for real‐time precipitable water vapor (PWV) sensing. However, relying on meteorological information restrains the implementation of inversion from tropospheric zenith total delays (ZTD) into PWV. In this study, stacked machine learning model mapping ZTD PWV in absence parameters is developed. The performance assessed and validated with offered by fifth generation European Centre Medium‐Range Weather...

Ocean surface winds play an essential role in regulating the earth's weather and climate, Cyclone GNSS (CYGNSS) mission launched 2016 is designed specially to monitor ocean wind speed. In this study, innovative model developed based on a deep learning method retrieve speed by making full use of spatiotemporal information CYGNSS observations. The proposed named CNN-LSTM established two modules, i.e., Convolution Neural Network (CNN) module that extracts spatial features around Specular Point...

The type VI secretion system (T6SS) is a widely distributed molecular apparatus found in most Gram-negative bacteria. Studies show that T6SSs have functions bacterial virulence, inter- and intra-bacterial competition, environmental adaptation. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an opportunistic pathogen, harbors three T6SS gene clusters perform diverse roles clinical infection. Herein, using DNA affinity chromatography of the H1-T6SS promoter, fluoroquinolone antibiotic resistance regulator NfxB was...

Abstract. The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) offers precise, continuous monitoring of atmospheric water vapor, essential for weather forecasting and climate research. This study presents a high-accuracy precipitable vapor (PWV) dataset from 55 GNSS stations along China’s coast (2009–2019). PWV retrievals utilized weighted mean temperature (Tm) zenith hydrostatic delay (ZHD) derived fifth-generation European ReAnalysis (ERA5) products. After rigorous quality control, the achieved...

Tropospheric delays (TDs) limit the accurate detection of slow slope motion using interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR), especially in subtropical coastal regions prone to frequent changes humidity. Although TDs can be estimated through external weather data, their spatiotemporal resolution and data availability are greatly limited, which is not applicable for individual slopes. This paper presents new TD correction methods slopes with both small dimensions elevation changes. We...

A joint source/channel coding algorithm is proposed for the transmission of multiple image sources over memoryless channels. The uses a quality scalable coder to optimally allocate limited bit budget among all achieve optimal overall distortion reduction reconstructed images. In addition conventional un gain, it provides channel multiplexing which can be much more significant. Furthermore, an extended scheme provide flexibility between optimization performance and complexity.
