The observed electric fields in thunderclouds are generally too weak to initiate the atmosphere’s electrical breakdown. But cosmic rays can play a surprising role drama of lightning.

We report here for the first time about registration of an extraordinary high flux low-energy neutrons generated during thunderstorms. The measured neutron count rate enhancements are directly connected with thunderstorm discharges. value obtained in our work is a challenge photonuclear channel generation thunderstorm: estimated needed high-energy $\ensuremath{\gamma}$-ray 3 orders magnitude higher than that one observed.

A nonlinear theory determining the conditions of existence and structure stationary striations generated in ionospheric modifications by powerful radio waves is proposed. The density depletions its characteristic length, width, depth are shown to be agreement with observations. strong enhancement electron temperature inside predicted.

An analytical theory is developed of the nonlinear stage Jeans instability in a cold nondissipative gas an expanding Universe. It shown that growth this creates giant dark-matter halo, 200 kpc size, around galaxies. This halo has density singularity described by ? r-?, where 1.7?1.9. A comparison made analytic with results numerical simulations and good agreement between them demonstrated. Analytic dynamic solutions are used to develop statistical method for calculation correlation functions...

The generation of an avalanche runaway electrons is demonstrated for the first time in a laboratory experiment. Two flows are formed sequentially extended air discharge gap at stage delay pulsed breakdown. first, picosecond, electron flow emitted cathode region where field enhanced. Being accelerated gap, this beam generates due to impact ionization. These secondary form delayed if strong enough. properties correspond existing notions about breakdown air. measured current exceeds up order...

Strong large‐scale oscillations of the electric field and plasma density observed on rockets in lower part ionospheric E layer scattering low‐frequency radar waves (ƒ ≤ 10 MHz) same region ionosphere are not well explained by existing theories. We explore here a new mechanism excitation turbulence region, connected with turbulent motion neutral atmosphere. The problem is solved fluid approximation. spectrum induced fluctuations electron ion densities determined analyzed. cross section for...

Energetic radiation during thunderstorms is studied. The possibility to identify the high-energy lightning emission in 10 s monitoring mode demonstrated. Simultaneous measurements of gamma-ray emission, electrons, and neutron triggering are fulfilled. Energy spectra gamma electrons obtained. intensity both rays discharge prevail background by 1.5 2 orders magnitude.

It has been revealed using microlensing that a considerable part, possibly more than half, of the dark matter in halo our Galaxy consists objects with mass spectrum ranging from 0.05 to 0.8 solar mass. What is nature these objects? There exist two hypotheses. According one, are Jupiter type planets or small stars (brown and white dwarfs) consisting normal baryonic matter. other, non-compact objects, i.e., small-scale formations non-baryonic Here, theory proposed describing possibility...
