Supported gold nanoparticles exhibit high catalytic activity not only at low temperatures, but also under the presence of moisture. The effect moisture on CO oxidation over Au/TiO2, Au/Al2O3, and Au/SiO2 was studied 273 K. It found that activities are enhanced by up to two orders magnitude, depends type oxide support (see picture, TOF=turnover frequency).

The rate of H2–D2 exchange increases in proportion to the inverse square mean diameter gold particles supported on TiO2 (see picture), which indicates that hydrogen dissociation takes place perimeter interfaces between and catalytic activity for H2 is correlated neither a change fraction edge or corner sites nor electronic nature induced by quantum size effect. Detailed facts importance specialist readers are published as ”Supporting Information”. Such documents peer-reviewed, but not...

of the surveyWe sent out survey questionnaire forms to departments each category in all 1535 institutions (602 cardiovascular, 793 general thoracic and 577 esophageal) nationwide early April 2014. The response rates by end December 2014 were 97.8, 96.0, 96.9 %, respectively. This high rate has been keep throughout recent survey, more than 96 % fields 2013 be congratulated.

We computationally evaluated the standard hydrogen electrode (SHE) potential in aqueous phase and Gibbs energy of a proton from experimental pKa values alcohol molecules. From "golden standard" CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVTZ level calculation, we estimated SHE as 4.48 V, which is very close to IUPAC-recommended value 4.44 V. As applications Gaussian-3 (G3) methods, also reproduce calculations, computed various redox potentials for vitamin series. For C, support result +0.35 V predict d-ascorbic acid be...

Abstract Au nanoparticles can be deposited on MCM-41 by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of dimethyl gold acetylacetonate. They exhibit high catalytic activities for the oxidation CO and H2 at low temperatures, below above 273K, respectively.

A simple, effective method has been demonstrated to synthesize Au/Pt/Ag trimetallic nanoparticles (TNPs) with an average diameter of 1.5 nm by reduction the corresponding ions rapid injection NaBH4. The prepared TNPs were characterized UV–vis, X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, and energy dispersion in scanning microscopy. activity is several times higher than that Au NPs nearly same particle size. high catalytic activities...

Recent studies have shown that cancer immunotherapy could be a promising therapeutic approach for the treatment of cancer. In present study, to identify novel tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), proteins expressed in panel cells were serologically screened by immunoblot analysis and eukaryotic elongation factor 2 (eEF2) was identified as an antigen recognized IgG autoantibody sera from group patients with head neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) or colon Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay...

Professor Masatake Haruta's distinguished scientific achievements are highlighted in heterogeneous catalysis by gold (Au). In 1982, he discovered that Au became highly active for CO oxidation even at 200 K when was deposited as nanoparticles (NPs) smaller than 5 nm on 3d transition metal oxides. After this finding, and his co-workers have developed many preparation methods the deposition of NPs clusters onto a wide variety supports. By kinetic, theoretical, surface science studies, Haruta...
