We provide the first record of Visored bat Sphaeronycteris toxophyllum for department Boyacá, Colombia, in Eastern Cordillera. This is based on a female collected secondary forest at an altitude 1,100 m. External and skull measurements obtained this specimen generally agree with those reported literature other Colombian specimens. With present record, poorly known fauna Boyacá can be recognized as including least 34 species.
