The energy storage performance of one the lightest-known MXenes, Ti2CTx (MX) combined with carbon nanospheres (CNS) has been investigated as a symmetric electrode system in an aqueous electrolyte (1 M Li2SO4). properties were interrogated using cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic cycling potential limitation (GCPL), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and voltage-holding tests. material (MX/CNS) demonstrated higher specific capacity compared to each individual components. was...
Distinct atomic nonpolar/polar ordering is determined at long, intermediate, and short ranges using synchrotron x-ray diffraction, Raman scattering, pair distribution function data in K0.5Na0.5NbO3-doped BaTiO3-based relaxor ferroelectrics, viz., (1−x)Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3−xKNN50. Two different polar phases with distinct symmetries are identified short/intermediate for x=0.10, where a monoclinic phase gradually transforms into rhombohedral intermediate ranges. In contrast, nonpolar average cubic...
The transparent wings of some cicada species present ordered arrays papillary structures with a spacing approximately 200 nm. These serve an antireflection function, optical transmission peaking at value 98% and rising above 90% over broad band from 450 to 2500 dimensions the papillae are comparable roughness scale surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates. SERS measurements performed on silver- gold-coated display enhancement factors 106 no apparent background contribution wing.
Ten hybrid metal halide perovskites containing divalent dabconium cations and alkali-metal ions have been structurally characterised their band gaps determined, with six new crystal structures reported. Five compounds of...
Abstract In this study, we present the effect of plasma deposition parameters on electrical and structural properties Ti/TiN multilayers. The films were formed by r.f. magnetron sputtering (13.56 MHz) under nitrogen argon reactive at low pressure. first step our study was optimization conditions in order to obtain good‐quality films. total pressure set between 2 10 mTorr. primary result is that self‐bias voltage plays a major role evolution TiN changing preferred film orientation their...
Au based plasmonic phenomenon inside the hole transport layer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) of an organic solar cell on blend poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and [6:6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid (PCBM) is investigated. The concentration nanoparticles synthesized by wet chemical reduction one key factors to strong light trapping when spherical gold are blended into PEDOT:PSS solution. Studies influence distribution in were carried out using UV–Vis spectroscopy...
Abstract Eu-doped ZnO (ZnO:Eu 3+ ) thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering have been investigated to establish the effect of annealing on red photoluminescence. PL spectra analysis reveal a correlation between characteristics photoluminescence and temperature, suggesting efficient energy transfer from host Eu ions as enhanced intrinsic defects levels. Five peaks corresponding 5 D0–7F J transitions were observed attributed occupancy in lattice sites films. As proof concept dye...
This study presents “K0.5Na0.5NbO3-based” Pb-free smart material 0.80(K0.5Na0.5NbO3)–0.20(Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3) (KBST20) as exhibiting zero thermal expansion (ZTE) at low temperatures (T≤ 100 K) with long-range cubic symmetry stable over a wide temperature range (9 K ≤T≤ 500 K). The linear coefficient of the (αl) obtained from temperature-dependent neutron diffraction data is in 0.255–5.75 × 10−6 K–1 (9–500 K), which rarely observed for materials possessing symmetry. dielectric KBST20 exhibits...
Colour plays an eminent role in beadwork. modifications are reported on early shell beads from Middle Stone Age sites. However, identifying the colouring agent and demonstrating intentional nature of process is not straightforward. Here, we provide analytical data colour structural observed Nassarius kraussianus (Nk) collected modern thanatocoenoses shells same species experimentally heated oxidizing reductive atmospheres. Gold-polyaniline composite is reported by the polymerization of aniline hydrochloride monomer using HAuCl4 as oxidant. was dissolved in toluene a phase-transfer catalyst, Aliquat 336. The oxidative leads to formation polyaniline with diameter <50 nm, while reduction auric acid results gold nanoparticles an average ∼4 nm. resultant material characterized means different techniques, such UV-vis, IR, and Raman spectroscopies, which offered information about chemical structure polymer,...
