Abstract : Obesity was reached by feeding female rats with a HFD for 10 weeks. Vaginal smear observed daily 3 weeks after animals were obese. Then, 70 abnormal estrus cyclicity selected and partitioned into two sets of 35 animals. Each set further divided seven groups five rats. These obese disrupted orally administered the aqueous methanolic extracts (100 500 mg/kg), distilled water (10 mL/kg), 5% Tween 80 mL/kg) or lutenyl (0.8 µg/kg) once day 1 week (set I) 4 II). Estrus cyclicity, body...

The aim of the present study was to determine uterotonic activities Ficus asperifolia and investigate its mechanism. effects aqueous methanol extracts dried fruits F. (0.05-1.60 mg mL(-1)) were evaluated on estrogenized isolated rat uterus in presence absence atropine (1.73-55.27 nM), pyrilamine maleate (1.25 × 10(-3) 40 M), indomethacin (0.06 10(-5) 2.00 M) or hexamethonium (0.66 10(-4) 21.43 M). Androgen deficiency is a clinical syndrome resulting from the inability of testes to produce physiological levels testosterone due disturbance occurring at one or more hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis. The present study was undertaken evaluate androgenic properties aqueous and methanolic extracts Ficus asperifolia on normal castrated immature rats.Normal rats were treated either per os with extract (100 mg/kg 500 b.w.), distilled water (10 ml/kg 5% Tween 80 b.w.) subcutaneously...

Abstract Two new endiandric acid derivatives, beilschmiedic F ( 1 ) and G 2 ), together with three known constituents, A, C, sitosterol 3‐ β ‐ D ‐glucopyranoside, were isolated from the stem bark of Beilschmiedia anacardioides. Their structures elucidated mainly by using a combination 1D‐ 2D‐NMR techniques. The structure relative configuration was also confirmed X‐ray crystallographic analysis.

From the methylene chloride extract of stem bark Beilschmiedia obscura, a new cyclostachine derivative, obscurine (1), has been isolated, together with six known compounds. The structure compound 1 was established by spectroscopic methods, including 1- and 2-dimensional NMR techniques.
