Abstract Over the past decades, considerable development and improvement can be observed in area of ion‐sensitive field‐effect transistor (ISFET) for biosensing applications. The mature semiconductor industry provides a solid foundation commercialization ISFET‐based sensors extensive research has been conducted to improve performance ISFET, with special focus on materials, device structures, readout topologies. In this review, basic theories mechanisms ISFET are first introduced. Research...
Background: A gut-microbial metabolite, trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO), has been associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Few previous prospective studies have addressed associations between the changes in TMAO and T2DM incidence. Methods: Data were derived from a longitudinal cohort conducted 2019 to 2021 rural areas of Fuxin County, Liaoning Province, China, 1515 diabetes-free participants aged above 35 years included. The concentrations serum its precursors measured at two time...
It is unclear whether Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) and its precursors are bidirectionally associated with kidney dysfunction. This study aims to investigate increased TMAO linked decreased eGFR reduced elevated precursors. Our consists of participants creatinine, TMAO, (choline, carnitine, betaine) repeatedly measured from Fuxin Rural Cohort. We utilized cross-lagged panel models (CLPM) assess the potential bidirectional associations eGFR. Age-(≥60 <60 years) sex-specified interaction...
Objectives: Gut microbiota-derived metabolites-trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) and its precursors choline, betaine, carnitine-have been linked to various health outcomes. However, their role in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) remains unclear due inconsistent findings. This study aims investigate the associations between maternal plasma concentrations of these metabolites during early pregnancy risk GDM. Methods: A nested case-control was performed Shanghai Birth Cohort. GDM cases non-GDM...
Orthostatic blood pressure (BP) dysregulation can impair cerebral perfusion and cognition. Water intake prevents syncope caused by orthostatic hypotension (OHypo) improves tolerance. However, research on scheduled water intake's effect the association between OHypo cognition is limited. This study aimed to investigate impact of BP mild cognitive impairment (MCI). cross-sectional was conducted in rural Fuxin, Liaoning Province, China, using cohort data. patterns were self-reported, measured....
Greatly enhanced upconversion luminescence was demonstrated by integrating the core–shell nanorods with Ag nanogratings. Both nanogratings and were fabricated/synthesized in a facile, cost-effective, high-throughput way. Experimental results showed that intensity of Er3+ can be well tuned changing shell thickness period nanograting. The underlying physical mechanism for enhancement attributed to plasmonically near infrared broadband absorption periodic nanograting localized surface plasmon...
Recently, private inference (PI) has addressed the rising concern over data and model privacy in machine learning as a service. However, existing PI frameworks suffer from high computational communication costs due to expensive multi-party computation (MPC) protocols. Existing literature developed lighter MPC protocols yield more efficient schemes. We, contrast, propose lighten them by introducing an empirically-defined evaluation. To that end, we reformulate threat of use attacks (IDPAs)...
We propose and numerically demonstrate a microfluid-enabled spin-selective chiral metasurface with tunable circular dichroism. The consists of periodic array gammadion-like multilayer nanostructures. With the help microfluidic technology, fine tuning dichroism from can be achieved. Numerical results show that broad range 40 nm achieved, while only shows slight decrease. Such proposed device could potentially useful for chirality detection, polarimetric imaging, spin-communications.

This study aims to examine the association between gut microbe-dependent trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) and its precursors (choline, betaine, carnitine) levels mild cognition impairment (MCI), alongside changes in Chinese version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Basic (ΔMoCA-BC) score rural adults.
