ABSTRACT To improve the flame retardancy, mechanical and dielectric properties of epoxy resin (EP), promoting application in aeronautic industry other fields, molybdenum disulfide‐melamine trimetaphosphate (MoS 2 ‐MAP) crystallite composites are synthesized. The chemical, crystalline structure thermal stabilities MoS ‐MAPs thoroughly characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), thermo‐gravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques,...
A flame retardant rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) system containing functionalized graphene oxide (fGO), expandable graphite (EG), and dimethyl methyl phosphonate (DMMP) was prepared investigated. The results show that the limiting oxygen index (LOI) of flame-retardant-polyurethane-fGO (FRPU/fGO) composites reached 28.1% UL-94 V-0 rating by adding only 0.25 g fGO. thermal degradation FRPU samples studied using thermogravimetric analysis (TG) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) analysis....
Wood has always maintained an important position in construction engineering and decoration due to its unique excellent characteristics, but flammability limited various application. In this study, phytic acid (PA) derived from plant seeds uracil (U) ribonucleic (RNA) were prepared as water solution, natural wood just through physical infiltration the solution obtain wood/PA/uracil (flame retardant [FR] wood), which was environmentally friendly, high strength fire‐resistant. The three‐point...
Abstract In this work, to improve its dispersion and flame retardancy, graphene oxide (GO) was functionalized by silane coupling agent KH550 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazole hexafluorophosphate (PF 6 ‐ILs), characteristics of the PF ‐ILs@GO obtained transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Then, synergistic retardant GO or melamine pyrophosphate (MPP) were applied for...
A rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) composite was prepared by compounding phytic acid (PA)-functionalized Graphite oxide (PA-GO) with flame-retardant poly (Ammonium phosphate) (APP) and expandable graphite (EG). The effects of PA-GO on the thermal, flame-retardant, mechanical properties RPUF were studied using a thermogravimetric analyzer, limiting oxygen index (LOI) tester, UL-94 vertical combustion cone calorimeter, scanning electron microscopy, universal tensile testing machine. results...
Abstract A simple, environmentally friendly and efficient montmorillonite (MMT)‐metal ion (Me: Mg 2+ , Ca Fe 3+ Zn )‐carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) organic–inorganic hybrid film is successfully applied to flame retardant paper through layer‐by‐layer self‐assembly (LbL) technology. Using SEM, TGA, XPS, air permeability test horizontal flammability characterize its surface morphology, thermal stability, retardancy. The results show that MMT‐Me‐CMC system can endow with high retardancy...
Carbon materials derived from bacterial cellulose have been studied in lithium-ion batteries due to their low cost and flexible characteristics. However, they still face many intractable problems such as specific capacity poor electrical conductivity. Herein, is used the carrier skeleton creatively realize composite of polypyrrole on its nanofiber surface. After carbonization treatment, three-dimensional carbon network composites with a porous structure short-range ordered are obtained for...
Abstract A novel macromolecular silicon‐containing intumescent flame retardants (Si‐IFR) was synthesized, and its structure a caged bicyclic macromolecule containing phosphorus‐silicon characterized by IR. Epoxy resins (EP) were modified with Si‐IFR to get the retardant EP, whose flammability burning behavior UL 94 limiting oxygen index (LOI). Twenty percentage of weight doped into EP 27.5% LOI V‐0. The degradation studied thermogravimetry, differential scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray...
The thermal degradation of wood treated with amino resins and modified phosphate has been studied by differential analysis (DTA) thermogravimetry (TG) in nitrogen. From the resulting data, kinetic parameters for different stages are obtained using method Broido. energies activation decomposition samples found to be from 72 109 kJ mol -1 .
