A simple wet chemical method has been developed to synthesize selenium nanoparticles (size 40–100 nm), by the reaction of sodium selenosulphate precursor with different organic acids in aqueous medium, under ambient conditions. Polyvinyl alcohol used stabilize nanoparticles. The synthesized can be separated from its sol using a high-speed centrifuge and redispersed medium sonicator. UV-visible optical absorption spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-rays, differential scanning...
ABSTRACT Aluminum phosphide (AlP) poisoning typically has a poor prognosis, but this case report from Nepal demonstrated that prompt hospitalization, aggressive supportive care, including gastric lavage with coconut oil, and careful management of metabolic acidosis can lead to successful patient recovery.
Purpose This study aims to explore and investigate the patient-reported outcome experience measure (DIALOG) with respect physical health of service users under care a Mental Health Learning Disabilities National Service trust. Design/methodology/approach Three exploratory statistical analyses (paired samples t -test, logistic regression on changing from unsatisfied satisfied improving by at least one DIALOG score) were conducted scores ( n = 3,077). Findings The mean score for question...
Abstract Polyacrylonitrile beads, containing the amidoximated polyacrylonitrile, were prepared for adsorption of uranium. The synthesized polyacrylonitrile chelating beads evaluated, their ability to adsorb uranium from aqueous solution, at different temperatures and pH values. kinetic measurement showed that about 120 min equilibration time was enough, remove saturation amount solution. pseudo first‐order second‐order equations used analyze data, rate constants determined. equilibrium data...
A simple wet chemical method, employing sulphuric acid, has been developed to synthesize polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-stabilized selenium nanoparticles from an aqueous sodium selenosulphate precursor. The method is capable of producing spherical in a size range about 20–80 nm, under ambient conditions. synthesized can be separated easily the sols by high-speed centrifuge and re-dispersed medium ultra-sonicator. effect concentration selenosulphate, PVA as well nature acid used, on studied. have...
Vildagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor is effective in reducing HbA1c levels patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) when administered as monotherapy, dual or triple combination therapy. In India, Vildagliptin commonly prescribed T2DM because it reduces mean amplitude of glycemic excursion (MAGE), has lower risk hypoglycemia and weight neutral. Early therapy vildagliptin metformin well-tolerated T2DM, regardless age ethnicity. view already existing data on the latest emerging...
A new simple wet chemical method has been developed to synthesize selenium nanoparticles (size 50 100 nm), by reaction of sodium selenosulphate precursor with acrylonitrile monomer, under ambient conditions. Polyvinyl alcohol used stabilize the nanoparticles. The synthesized can be separated from their sol using a high-speed centrifuge and redispersed in aqueous medium an ultrasonicator. UV−visible optical absorption spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, energy dispersive analysis,...
Polyvinyl alcohol-capped CdSe quantum dots, with a size within their confinement limit, were prepared in aqueous solution at room temperature, by simple and environmentally friendly chemical method. The of the dots was found to be dependent on concentrations precursors cadmium selenium ions, as well aging time reaction temperature; all which could used conveniently for tuning particles, optical properties. synthesized characterized absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence X-ray diffraction,...
A novel set of 16 hybrids bromopyrrole alkaloids with aroyl hydrazone were designed, synthesized and evaluated for antibacterial antibiofilm activities against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA; ATCC 43866), methicillin-susceptible (MSSA; 35556) epidermidis (SE, S. 35984). Of the tested hybrids, 14 exhibited equal or superior activity MSSA MRSA relative to standard vancomycin. Compound 4m showed highest potency 0.39 µg/mL 0.78 MRSA, respectively. Thus, this compound could act...
Abstract Background: Mobile right atrial thrombus is an uncommon finding on two-dimensional (2D) echocardiography. Therapeutic alternatives include systemic heparinization, or local thrombolysis, and surgical removal. We report our clinical experience in six patients over a 3-year period (6000 echocardiograms) at tertiary care referral center. Methods: There were four men two women with mean age of 63 years (range: 47 to 73 years). Indications for echocardiography consisted progressive...
VF was observed in four patients (group A) with preexcited AF presenting to the emergency department who had been given 12 mg of adenosine. These were resuscitated and underwent electrophysiological study catheter ablation accessory pathway (AP). In a control B) five manifest AP, sustained induced by rapid atrial pacing during adenosine administered. The ECG electrophysiologic features two groups compared. All single AP. group A, three left free-wall AP one patient posteroseptal while all...
