The snowflake-like hierarchical structured WO<sub>3</sub> arrays photoanode was fabricated on the FTO conductive glass. In this photoanode, a high aspect ratio sandwich-like structure is more conducive to charge transfer, and unique snowflake like can improve carrier separation efficiency. As expected, obtained yield improved photocurrent density of 2.3 mA·cm<sup>-2</sup>, which approximately 3.96 times than that nanosheet photoanode.
