The purpose of this study was to describe the chest CT findings in seven patients with Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) infection. The most common finding hospitalized MERS-CoV infection is that bilateral predominantly subpleural and basilar airspace changes, more extensive ground-glass opacities than consolidation. peribronchovascular predilection abnormalities suggestive an organizing pneumonia pattern.

The objective of our study was to review the chest radiographic and CT findings in patients with swine-origin influenza A (H1N1) virus (S-OIV) infection. The most common seven S-OIV infection are unilateral or bilateral ground-glass opacities without associated focal multifocal areas consolidation. On MDCT, consolidation had a predominant peribronchovascular subpleural distribution, resembling organizing pneumonia.

Minute pulmonary meningothelial-like nodules are common incidental pathologic findings but sparsely described in the radiology literature. They of uncertain origin and significance, they can occasionally manifest as mild restrictive lung disease or micronodules on computed tomography. We present a case multiple incidentally detected, randomly distributed, cavitating with correlation. Awareness rare presentation this entity is important because it may simulate neoplastic other nonneoplastic diseases.

Objective: Angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma (AFH) is a rare soft tissue tumor usually affecting the extremities of children and young adults has favorable prognosis. The purpose this study was to report magnetic resonance imaging appearance in 2 cases AFH. Conclusions: Although overall features AFH can be confused with other subtypes malignant histiocytoma, age at presentation, location mass, presence intralesional blood-filled cystic spaces fluid-fluid levels, associated hemosiderin...

Giant cell tumour (GCT) of bone is a locally aggressive benign tumour. It can, however, undergo dedifferentiation, either de novo or secondarily after local recurrence radiation. Whether spontaneously occurring induced by previous irradiation, this malignant transformation typically defined as high-grade anaplastic sarcoma devoid giant cells. Dedifferentiation GCT into low-grade-appearing has not been reported yet. Here, we describe the first case dedifferentiated in appearance low-grade...

Objectives To assess the standard of chest X-ray techniques in tuberculosis (TB) screening within Saudi Arabian healthcare facilities and evaluate impact technical quality on radiological interpretation. Materials methods Analysis 250 posteroanterior radiographs sourced from a network five clinics was conducted. These images were scrutinized for by radiologist. Results Of analyzed, 57% exhibited issues, with overexposure clothing artifacts being most commonly encountered. Notably, only 14%...

Computed tomography (CT) is used to evaluate the human tracheobronchial tree because of its unsurpassed ability visualize airway and surrounding structures. To establish an ideal animal model for studying subglottic stenosis, we assessed size morphology normal rabbit's laryngotracheal by helical CT. We measured luminal dimensions at levels arytenoid cricoid cartilages first, third, eighth tracheal rings. At all levels, axial slices were calculate maximum anteroposterior (AP) dimension,...

The abdominal aorta is the largest artery in abdomen. It then bifurcates giving two common iliac arteries. Knowing normal diameter a basis for diagnosing aortic aneurysms (AAAs) and subsequently developing an optimal management plan. In order to diagnose AAA, one must have reference that represents anatomical variation population being studied. aim of this research establish diameters Saudi population.

Background and Objectives In practice, clinical logistic hurdles may hamper performing transesophageal echocardiography in stroke patients. Cardiac computed tomography (CT) is a recently introduced noninvasive modality able to detect various embolic causes. Thus, we retrospectively assessed possible added values of applying cardiac CT the real-world work-up suspected cardioembolic cases. Methods Forty-seven patients were neurology service referrals for stroke. The images reports our...
