In-medium pion-pion correlations were studied via their effect on experimental observables measured for the ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ reaction in nuclei $(A:{ }^{12}{\mathrm{C},\mathrm{ }}^{40}\mathrm{Ca}$, and ${}^{208}\mathrm{Pb})$ deuterium, from which it is inferred nucleon $(N:$ n $p)$. Differential cross sections for π−p and π+p elastic scattering were measured at five energies between 19.9 43.3 MeV. The use of the CHAOS magnetic spectrometer TRIUMF, supplemented by a range telescope muon background suppression, provided simultaneous coverage large part full angular range, thus allowing very precise relative section measurements. absolute normalisation was determined with typical accuracy 5%. This verified in measurement proton scattering. show some deviations from phase...

A novel approach for designing the next generation of vertex detectors foresees to employ wafer-scale sensors that can be bent truly cylindrical geometries after thinning them thicknesses 20-40$\mu$m. To solidify this concept, feasibility operating MAPS was demonstrated using 1.5$\times$3cm ALPIDE chips. Already with their thickness 50$\mu$m, they successfully radii about 2cm without any signs mechanical or electrical damage. During a subsequent characterisation 5.4GeV electron beam, it...

The Crystal Ball ($CB$) collaboration at $BNL$ has recently presented results regarding a study of the $π^- A \to π^0π^0 A^\prime$ reaction on $H, D, C, Al$ and $Cu$, using nearly 4$π$ detector. Similar results, but for $π^+ π^+π^{\pm} $^{2}H$, $^{12}C$, $^{40}Ca$, $^{208}Pb$, have been published earlier by $CHAOS$ $TRIUMF$. In this Brief Report comparison two measurements is made, which shows that $CB$ data share relevant common features. particular, increase in strength as function seen...

Hadronic resonance production has been studied with the ALICE detector in different collision systems at LHC energies. The aim is to disentangle initial-state effects from genuine medium-induced effects, which may occur hot and dense hadronic matter after chemical freeze-out Pb–Pb collisions. In these proceedings, transversemomentum spectra of ϕ(1020) K*(892)0 ratio their yield long-lived particles are discussed this light.
