To combat environmental challenges-such as the depletion of natural resources and a high carbon footprint-and contribute to effort achieving zero-waste technology sustainable development, use agricultural industrial wastes in cement industry has created research interest. This study explores potential two types harvest residue ash (HRA) three ceramic waste (CP) supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) through: (1) characterization raw (2) examining physical properties mechanical...
During December 2009 snow was collected at twenty two locations across the urban area of Novi Sad, directly from roads and traffic islands near crossroads. The total metal concentration determined for each ten metals (Al, Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mn, Na, Ni, Pb, Zn) using ICP-OES analytical technique. found to have lowest Ni (0.0265 mg dm-3). with highest Na (10786 dm-3), which is a consequence sodium chloride being used as de-icing salt on roads. second all Ca; this most likely result soil dust....
We revisit the seminal model of glycolysis first proposed by Sel’kov more than fifty years ago. investigate onset instabilities in biological systems described order to determine conditions parameters that lead bifurcations. analyze reaction under circumstances when diffusivity both ATP and ADP reactants are taken into account. estimate critical value model’s single compact dimensionless parameter, which is responsible for instability system’s symmetry breaking. It appears it leads spatial...
This paper examines the distribution of potentially toxic elements (PTEs) among various soil particle sizes, with a focus on Fluvisol soils in Novi Sad, Serbia, which are distinguished for their high sand content. Potentially (PTEs), as As, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, and Pb were analyzed urban vicinity major roads factors (DF) calculated. Urban was initially collected bulk samples then separated into seven distinct size fractions through wet sieving. Based obtained results, highest values observed...
An improved measurement scheme is proposed for the timing resolution of some commercially available photon detecting and counting APDs. The statistics time intervals corresponding to flight through passive media was recorded. Consequences intrinsic arrival ambiguity are taken into account. This leads better resolutions than claimed by manufacturers. In one exemplary case mean value 31.2 ps instead 40 ps.
Fountain solution induced mottling in offset printing manifests as non-homogenous area with optical variation has several influencing factors. One mechanism is that the fountain from previous unit no time to absorb into coating before ink transfer or cannot emulsify water and stays on top of surface an additional hydrophilic layer. In paper development, chemistry influences features ink-paper interaction can cause repellency. Porosity absorbing capacity its great importance avoid press...
We investigate the messenger role of calcium ions implicated in regulation wave-like bending dynamics flagella. The emphasis is on microtubules flagellar axoneme serving as nonlinear transmission lines for bell-shaped spikes ions. sensitive proteins, such calmodulin, exhibit activation dependence spike train frequency and amplitude. Here, we analyze a Ca2+ decoding module IDA-I1 whose activity controlled by activated kinase. find that trains are advantageous compared to constant rise...
