This study investigates the functionalization of gold-coated magnetoelastic sensors with thionine molecules, focusing on resonance frequency shifts. The process was characterized by using Raman spectroscopy and analyzed via scanning electron microscopy atomic force microscopy, revealing progressive formation molecular clusters over time. Our results demonstrate that longer time leads to saturation surface coverage cluster formation, impacting sensor's Such modifications offer insights into...

Abstract We report the role of bandgap energy in Cd 1−x Mn x Te thin films photoinduced crystallization tellurium under prolonged exposure to visible light. Raman spectroscopy was used quantify evolution trigonal phase ( t -Te) over time. Our results reveal that when incident photons exceeds energy, photocrystallization process seems be controlled by diffusion and consistent with growth one-dimensional forming crystalline structures. Conversely, excitation is lower than effect completely...

This study investigated the use of ladle furnace slag fines (FLF) for soil stabilisation. It contributes to current state-of-the-art by comparing effects FLF on engineering properties clayey and sandy soils, evaluating different curing periods mechanical performance soil-FLF mixtures, investigating resilient behaviour stabilised tropical soils. The present experimental programme covers characterisation compaction, unconfined compression, diametral CBR, modulus tests mixtures. provided...

Carbon-black nanoparticles (CBN) have been incorporated into cement-based materials for improvement of mechanical or self-sensing properties. There is no previous research focused on the microstructural evaluation effects CBN both parameters. In this work, mortars containing different contents were produced, cured 28 days, and subjected to electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) Raman spectroscopy. Tests determination compressive strength, modulus elasticity piezoresistivity...

We have fabricated graphene devices on lightly doped Si substrates and show that pronounced changes in resistance versus gate voltage, R(Vg), characteristics of these at 77 K are induced by the variation charge distribution substrate with both voltage illumination. The R(Vg) dark shows remarkable as carriers underlying go through accumulation, depletion, inversion regimes. demonstrate possibility using a device an optical-latch.

The structural performance of civil engineering infrastructures exposed to elevated temperatures has been investigated in many recent works. Some these studies evaluated the residual mechanical behavior masonry prisms subjected high temperatures, as specimens are simplified models (2–5 units height) that can be easily produced and tested, terms operational economic factors.
