Delafossite CuCrO<sub>2</sub> nanoparticles with band gap energy of 3.09 eV and surface area 235 m<sup>2</sup> g<sup>−1</sup> were prepared by citrate precursor route showed enhanced catalytic degradation methylene blue in H<sub>2</sub>O under the sunlight irradiation.
The highest surface area was achieved and room temperature ferroelectricity with ferromagnetic interactions appeared in the as-prepared YMnO<sub>3</sub> nanoparticles.
Monophasic and multifunctional YCrO<sub>3</sub> nanoparticles (22 nm) with a high surface area of 344 m<sup>2</sup> g<sup>−1</sup> exhibit well-defined multiferroic characteristics.
