The scale‐up of spotted rose snapper, Lutjanus guttatus , larval rearing is described. Fertilized eggs (480,000) were obtained from a 1‐d harvest natural spawning captive broodstock acclimatized for 1 yr and 6 mo in two fiberglass tanks (18 m 3 ). Fourteen hours after spawning, 89.6% the collected floating, which 96.2% transparent with live embryos. Incubation at 25–26 C lasted 21 h, 90.2 ± 2.1% hatching percentage normal larvae. viable larvae 48 h was 79.7 1.9%. Initial stocking density...
A common problem in marine fish hatcheries is the lack of functional embryonic parameters reliably predicting favorable larval outcomes. Embryos characterized as high-quality by typical assessment methods frequently result weak larvae with high mortality during endo-exotrophic transition. Thus, because there no universal consensus on what are most associated successful survivability, this study aims to determine reliable, practical, and real-time predictor vitality at earliest developmental...
The effect on growth and survival of the initial stocking density (30, 20 10 eggs L -1 ) in larval rearing spotted rose snapper (Lutjanus guttatus) was evaluated. The were incubated nine black fibreglass tanks with three replicates for treatment.Larvae cultured same using green water technique.Larvae harvested at 45 days post-hatch (DDE).Total length (LT), weight (PH) rate (S) determined.Initial did not affect rates. Therefore, it is advisable to carry out culture 30 maintain good levels.
