This paper presents the effects of surface waviness on nonlinear dynamic performance a gas bearing‐rotor system. The coupled vibration with elastomer is taken into consideration to fit actual engineering application. directions, amplitudes, and numbers waves are investigated. results show that existence in circumferential direction can improve stability system obviously.
