The observation of Higgs boson production in association with a top quark pair ($t\bar{t}H$), based on the analysis proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energy 13 TeV recorded ATLAS detector Large Hadron Collider, is presented. Using corresponding to integrated luminosities up 79.8 fb$^{-1}$, and considering decays into $b\bar{b}$, $WW^*$, $\tau\tau$, $\gamma\gamma$, $ZZ^*$, observed significance 5.8 standard deviations, compared an expectation 4.9 deviations. Combined $t\bar{t}H$...

This Letter presents a measurement of γγ→μ^{+}μ^{-} production in Pb+Pb collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector at Large Hadron Collider sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV with an integrated luminosity 0.49 nb^{-1}. The azimuthal angle and transverse momentum correlations between muons are measured as function collision centrality. muon pairs produced from γγ through interaction large electromagnetic fields nuclei. contribution background sources is removed using template fit method. In peripheral...

A search for exotic decays of the Higgs boson into a pair spin-zero particles, $H \rightarrow aa$, where $a$-boson $b$-quarks promptly or with mean proper lifetime $c\tau_a$ up to 6 mm and has mass in range $20-60$ GeV, is presented. The performed events produced association $W$ $Z$ boson, giving rise signature one two charged leptons (electrons muons) multiple jets from $b$-quark decays. analysis based on dataset proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV recorded 2015 2016 by ATLAS...

A search for resonant and nonresonant pair production of Higgs bosons in the bb[over ¯]τ^{+}τ^{-} final state is presented. The uses 36.1 fb^{-1} pp collision data with sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded by ATLAS experiment at LHC 2015 2016. Decays τ-lepton pairs least one τ lepton decaying to states hadrons a neutrino are considered. No significant excess above expected background observed data. cross-section times branching ratio boson constrained be less than 30.9 fb, 12.7 standard model...

A search is presented for the pair production of heavy vectorlike quarks, $T\overline{T}$ or $B\overline{B}$, that decay into final states with jets and no reconstructed leptons. Jets in state are classified using a deep neural network as arising from hadronically decaying $W/Z$ bosons, Higgs top background. The analysis uses data ATLAS experiment corresponding to $36.1\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ proton-proton collisions center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=13\text{...

A search for the $b\overline{b}$ decay of Standard Model Higgs boson produced through vector-boson fusion is presented. Three mutually exclusive channels are considered: two all-hadronic and a photon-associated channel. Results reported from analysis up to $30.6\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ $pp$ data at $\sqrt{s}=13\text{ }\mathrm{TeV}$ collected with ATLAS detector LHC. The measured signal strength relative prediction combined $2.{5}_{\ensuremath{-}1.3}^{+1.4}$ inclusive...

Flavor-changing neutral currents are not present in the Standard Model at tree level and suppressed loop processes by unitarity of Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix; corresponding rates for top quark decay experimentally unobservable. Extensions can generate new flavor-changing current processes, leading to signals which, if observed, would be unambiguous evidence interactions. A data set an integrated luminosity $36.1\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ $pp$ collisions a...

ATLAS measurements of the production muons from heavy-flavor decays in $\sqrt{{s}_{NN}}=2.76$ TeV Pb+Pb collisions and $\sqrt{s}=2.76$ $pp$ at LHC are presented. Integrated luminosities 0.14 ${\mathrm{nb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ 570 used for measurements, respectively, which performed over muon transverse momentum range $4<{p}_{T}<14$ GeV five centrality intervals. A search for supersymmetry in events with large missing transverse momentum, jets, and at least one hadronically decaying $\tau$-lepton is presented. Two exclusive final states either exactly or two $\tau$-leptons are considered. The analysis based on proton-proton collisions $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb$^{-1}$ delivered by the Large Hadron Collider recorded ATLAS detector 2015 2016.
