Hematopoiesis is precisely orchestrated by lineage-specific DNA-binding proteins that regulate transcription in concert with coactivators and corepressors. Mutations the zebrafish moonshine (mon) gene specifically disrupt both embryonic adult hematopoiesis, resulting severe red blood cell aplasia. We report mon encodes ortholog of mammalian transcriptional intermediary factor 1gamma (TIF1gamma) (or TRIM33), a member TIF1 family During development, hematopoietic progenitor cells mutants fail...

Delirium is a well-described complication of critical illness, with occurrence rates >25% in the PICU, and associated morbidity. Infants NICU are likely at risk. There have been no previous screening studies to quantify delirium neonatal population. We hypothesized that was prevalent term neonates NICU. In this pilot study, our objective estimate prevalence using validated pediatric tool, which has not yet tested NICUs.In point all or term-corrected infants admitted on designated study days...

Inaccurate weight estimation is a contributing factor to medical error in pediatric emergencies, especially the prehospital setting. Current American Heart Association guidelines recommend use of length-based tools such as Broselow tape. We developed AiRDose smartphone application that uses augmented reality provide estimates, well medication dosing, defibrillation energy, and equipment sizing recommendations; was programmed conversions obtain these estimates. The primary objective compare...

Patients with multisystem inflammatory disease in children (MIS-C) are at risk of developing shock. Our objectives were to determine independent predictors associated development delayed shock (≥3 hours from emergency department [ED] arrival) patients MIS-C and derive a model predicting those low for shock. We conducted retrospective cross-sectional study 22 pediatric EDs the New York City tri-state area. We included meeting World Health Organization criteria presented April 1 June 30, 2020....
