Abstract This article is the first of a series devoted to various aspects exchange reactions in molten bisphenol‐A polycarbonate–poly(butylene terephthalate) mixtures. The statistical between two polycondensates different chemical structure are considered. theoretical approach enables us calculate mean lengths sequences as well several expressions for degree randomness four‐component copolycondensates from triad or dyad concentrations determined by NMR spectroscopy.

Abstract In this work, the exchange reaction taking place in molten blends of bisphenol‐A polycarbonate and polybutylene terephthalate was studied. A direct transesterification mechanism catalyzed by titanium residues, present commercial PBTP, deduced. The can be ‐stopped at various levels additives capable complexing catalyst. This work enhances possibility a new approach macromolecular engineering directly combining polycondensates processing machine such as an extruder.

Abstract The structure of the four‐component copolyester resulting from exchange reaction between molten bisphenol‐A polycarbonate and poly(butylene terephthalate) is analyzed as a function time by infrared nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. By applying statistical method developed earlier, mean chain length various sequences well degree randomness computed. leads initially to formation block with reduced solubility. As proceeds, soluble random copolycondensate progressively formed.

Adopting effective techniques to automatically detect and identify small drones is a very compelling need for number of different stakeholders in both the public private sectors. This work presents three original approaches that competed grand challenge on “Drone vs. Bird” detection problem. The goal one or more appearing at some time point video sequences where birds other distractor objects may be also present, together with motion background foreground. Algorithms should raise an alarm...

Abstract Exchange reactions in molten bisphenol‐A polycarbonate–poly(butylene terephthalate) mixtures are investigated by means of model reactions. Transesterification can result either from direct ester‐ester interchange or via alcoholysis acidolysis. Among the various investigated, only PBTP phenol is not found to occur. Taking into account that terephthalate units (A 2 B 1 ) and butylene carbonate formed equimolecular amounts, it concluded most likely mechanism for PC‐PBTP transesterification.

Abstract Gelation and melting of aqueous gelatin were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. This phenomenon can be analyzed as a conventional crystallization process assuming predetermined primary nucleation unidirectional growth. The results interpreted in terms the fringed micelle model. Calculated values diameter renatured collagen fibril found excellent agreement with those determined previously electron microscopy.

Abstract A method is presented to crystallize polycarbonate of bisphenol under constant vapor pressure solvents at near ambient temperatures. Methylene chloride and acetone were used as crystallizing liquids. Acetone more powerful in inducing crystallization but the final degree crystallinity does not depend on nature solvent. The crystalline low found literature for this polymer. This very useful materials reluctant thermally induced such polycarbonate.

Abstract Primary nucleation is in general heterogeneous polymer crystallization. In unseeded polymers, the crystallization originates from a very small concentration (<0.1 percent) of unknown submicroscopic nuclei. Only three cases have mechanisms been identified with precision. Another represented epitaxial polymers on inorganic and organic substrates recently established Lotz...
