Ultrasonic sensors allow us to equip robots with a means of perceiving surrounding objects, an alternative technical vision. Humanoid robots, like other types, are, first, equipped sensory systems similar the senses human. However, this approach is not enough. All possible types and kinds should be used, including those that are animals creations (in particular, echolocation in dolphins bats), as well have no analogues wild. This paper discusses main issues arise when working HC-SR04...

We report on the test beam results and calibration methods using high energy electrons, pions muons with CMS forward calorimeter (HF). The HF covers a large pseudorapidity region ( $3\leq|\eta|\leq5$ ), is essential for number of physics channels missing transverse energy. It also expected to play prominent role in measurement tagging jets weak boson fusion Higgs production. based steel absorber embedded fused-silica-core optical fibers where Cherenkov radiation forms basis signal...

For reliable autonomous train operation, detecting and classifying obstacles on or near rail tracks, accurately estimating the distance to these obstacles, is essential. This task more challenging in low-light conditions, common for freight trains that operate primarily at night. paper proposes a novel method, FuzzyH, between thermal camera detected using image-plane homography. By leveraging homography image track planes, incorporating fuzzy logic system, method improves estimation accuracy...

Extensive measurements have been made with pions, electrons and muons on four production wedges of the compact muon solenoid (CMS) hadron barrel (HB) calorimeter in H2 beam line at CERN particle momenta varying from 20 to 300 GeV/c. The time structure events was measured full chain preproduction front-end electronics running 34 MHz. Moving-wire radioactive source data were also collected for all scintillator layers HB. energy dependent slewing effect tuned optimal performance.

Methods for numerical optimization of regulators has a number advantages as compared with the analytical methods. The use modern software, together well-known and newest methods forming criteria in form cost functions provides set methods, successfully tested on tasks. These contrast to ones, allow effectively calculation robust objects even case simultaneous presence these non-linear elements, units lag, discrete elements (such sampling-and-hold analog storage) other complicating singularities.

Adsorption of CO at room temperature on a CaNaY zeolite results in formation several species: Ca2+(CO) (2198 cm−1); Ca2+(CO)2 (2188 cm−1), Ca2+(OC) (2094 Na+(CO) (2172 cm−1) and Na+(OC) (2119 cm−1). At 85 K no O-bonded is observable but, addition to the C-bonded complexes found temperature, two additional species have been detected: Ca2+(CO)3 (2185 Na+(CO)2 (2167 high coverages (equilibrium pressures above ca. 100 Pa), are predominant. In this work we report some new nonclassical carbonyls of iridium formed after CO adsorption on Ir-ZSM-5 (Ir-MFI). Mainly Ir+ cations were found sample activated at 523 K and reduced by the same temperature. With they Ir+(CO)2 gem-dicarbonyls (2104 2033 cm(-1)) that decomposed 673 without leaving a measurable fraction monocarbonyls. The dicarbonyl structure was established 12CO-13CO coadsortpion experiments. presence in gaseous phase ambient temperature dicarbonyls converted into Ir+(CO)3...
