Abstract Clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC) is a common and aggressive subtype of cancer. Here we conduct comprehensive proteogenomic analysis 232 tumor adjacent non-tumor tissue pairs from Chinese ccRCC patients. By comparing with tissues, find that shows extensive metabolic dysregulation an enhanced immune response. Molecular subtyping classifies tumors into three subtypes (GP1–3), among which the most GP1 exhibits strongest phenotype, increased metastasis, imbalance, linking...
Abstract Chemotherapy and targeted therapy are the major treatments for gastric cancer (GC), but drug resistance limits its effectiveness. Here, we profile proteome of 206 tumor tissues from patients with GC undergoing either chemotherapy or anti-HER2-based therapy. Proteome-based classification reveals four subtypes (G-I–G-IV) related to different clinical molecular features. MSI-sig high benefit docetaxel combination treatment, accompanied by anticancer immune response. Further study T...
Abstract Microphthalmia transcription factor (MiT) family translocation renal cell carcinoma (tRCC) is a rare type of kidney cancer, which not well characterized. Here we show the comprehensive proteogenomic analysis tRCC tumors and normal adjacent tissues to elucidate molecular landscape this disease. Our study reveals that defective DNA repair plays an important role in carcinogenesis progression. Metabolic processes are markedly dysregulated at both mRNA protein levels. Proteomic...
Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-tumor necrosis factor 6 (TRAF6) signaling is activated in atherosclerosis (AS), inducing inflammatory mediators. Because miR-146a, a TLR4 microRNA (miRNA), can regulate during responses, this study investigated the effects of aerobic exercise on TLR4-targeted miRNAs AS. Apolipoprotein E-null mice fed high-fat diet for 12 weeks were separated into 3 groups: (i) no treatment (ii) statin (AD), or (iii) (AE). Plaques and foam cells observed untreated control groups,...
Eosinophilic pleural effusion constitutes a captivating and salient subject for exploration. In order to find out the reasons behind formation of eosinophilic effusion, we chose this study, hoping gradually unravel its mysterious veil. The absolute value percentage eosinophils in healthy people (normal control group), peripheral blood patients, patients were compared analyze their characteristics. with level was significantly greater than that group) (p < 0.0001) as well, even within...
Abstract Background: Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), colorectal cancer (CRC) and stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), contribute to nearly one-third of cancer-related deaths in China. The late-stage diagnosis these cancers is largely due limited access endoscopic procedures low screening adherence. A blood-based multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test offers a more convenient alternative; however, the efficacy detecting early-stage remains...
Abstract The tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) Sunitinib is one the therapies approved for advanced renal cell carcinoma. Here, we undertake proteogenomic profiling of 115 tumors from patients with clear carcinoma (ccRCC) undergoing treatment and reveal molecular basis differential clinical outcomes TKI therapy. We find that chromosome 7q gain-induced mTOR signaling activation associated poor therapeutic treatment, whereas aristolochic acid signature VHL mutation synergistically caused...
To identify liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS)-related molecular clusters, and to develop validate a novel index based on LLPS for predicting the prognosis of prostate cancer (PCa) patients. We download clinical transcriptome data PCa from TCGA GEO database. The LLPS-related genes (LRGs) were extracted PhaSepDB. Consensus clustering analysis was used subtypes PCa. LASSO cox regression performed establish biochemical recurrence (BCR)-free survival (BCRFS). Preliminary experimental...
Insulin resistance (IR) plays a key role in the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and is one its most important characteristics. Previous studies have shown that IR T2DM were independent risk factors for variety cardiovascular cerebrovascular diseases. However, there are few on relationship between aortic dissection (AD). The goal this research was to find evidence promotes occurrence AD.Through statistical analysis, we determined proportion glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c)...
Infusing undergraduate curricula with authentic research training is an important contemporary challenge. Such exposure typically occurs through mentored (MR) or course-based experiences (CUREs). In Asian contexts, CURE implementation rare, while MR often a graduation requirement. this study, mentor interviews and mentee focus groups were used to characterize the learning challenges associated requirement at Chinese university. An intensive 6-week was then implemented as preparatory program...

ABSTRACT Background: Accurate staging of prostate cancer (PCa) is the basis for risk stratification to select targeted treatment. Therefore, this study aimed compare diagnostic accuracy rates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and digital rectal examination (DRE) preoperative T potentially resectable PCa. Methods: From March 2021 2022, patients with PCa by biopsy were included. All examinations used postoperative histopathologic as reference standard. underwent DRE MRI before puncture. Two...
Increasing evidence indicates that DNA polymerase epsilon (POLE), which mediates damage repair, is significantly associated with tumor prognosis. This study aimed to analyze POLE expression in samples and its prognostic value for patients clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC). We found elevated ccRCC tissues compared normal of multiple independent cohorts. The levels 523 (The Cancer Genome Atlas RNA-seq data) 179 immunohistochemical data (Fudan University Shanghai Center) were analyzed...
Background: This study investigated serum Glucose transporter (GLUT) 4 levels and examined the relationship between GLUT4 sepsis in critically ill children. Methods: was a retrospective of 77 children 33 non-diabetic healthy (controls) who were admitted 07/2015 05/2016. Patient data, clinical information, blood samples collected on admission, alongside large number laboratory parameters that routinely assessed. Critically patients divided into non-sepsis/systemic inflammatory response...
This study aims to explore the role of cuproptosis-related genes in ACC, utilizing data from TCGA and GEO repositories, develop a predictive model for patient stratification.
