Significance In the present study, we found a significantly up-regulated CD3 + CD4 − CD8 T cell (double-negative cell; DNT) population in peripheral blood of patients with acute stroke compared age-matched healthy subjects. Interestingly, infiltrating DNTs were mainly located close to microglia ischemic brain tissues both and middle cerebral artery occlusion mice. amplified proinflammatory subsequently enhanced neuroinflammation exacerbated injury after stroke. Mechanistically, DNT-intrinsic...

Interfacial electron engineering between noble metal and transition carbide is identified as a powerful strategy to improve the intrinsic activity of electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). However, this short-range effect huge structural differences make it significant challenge obtain desired electrocatalyst with atomically thin layers. Here, we demonstrated combinatorial strategies fabricate heterostructure Mo2C-coupled Pd atomic layers (AL-Pd/Mo2C) by precise control...

A planar mixed-potential type sensor consisting of La0.8Sr0.2Cr0.5Fe0.5O3-δ sensing electrode, yttria-stabilized zirconia solid electrolyte, and Pt reference electrode was developed for H2 detection. The showed high repeatable response with a value −143.6 mV 1000 ppm at 450 °C. varied linearly or logarithmically the hydrogen concentration in range 20–100 100–1000 H2, respectively. response/recovery time generally decreased increasing temperature, reached almost steady above 300 H2. Response...

The formaldehyde biosensors with the features of cost effectiveness, high specificity, easy operation, and simplicity are urgently desired in routing field detection formaldehyde. Here, we report a new design an enzymatic self-powered biosensor (ESPB) toward detection. ESPB involves dehydrogenase/poly-methylene green/buckypaper bioanode as sensing electrode Prussian blue/Au nanoparticles/carbon fiber paper cathode electrochromic display. Formaldehyde acts fuel to drive ESPB, relying on that...

Abstract A bio‐photoelectrochemical cell (BPEC) based on a fuel‐free self‐circulation water–oxygen–water system was fabricated. It consists of Ni:FeOOH modified n‐type bismuth vanadate (BiVO 4 ) photoanode and laccase catalyzed biocathode. In this BPEC, irradiation the generates photocurrent for photo‐oxidation water to oxygen, which is reduced again at Of note, by‐products two electrode reactions could continue be reacted, means H 2 O molecules are retained in an infinite loop without any...
