Electrolytic hydrogen offers a promising alternative for long-term energy storage of renewable (RE). A stand-alone RE system based on as has been developed and installed at the Hydrogen Research Institute, successfully tested autonomous operation with control power conditioning devices. The excess produced, respect to load requirement, sent electrolyzer production. When produced from sources became insufficient, stored was fed fuel cell produce electricity. components have substantially...
We present the results of an experimental investigation energy balance a Ballard MK5-E proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) stack. have investigated transient phenomena that occur during PEMFC stack warm-up, under load switching, and when is connected to DC/AC inverter. A simple convenient model describing polarization curve as function temperature presented validated by our data. also on increase performance current density for different oxygen concentrations oxidant gas.
On the basis of an experimental study in a large temperature range, it is shown that “helium densities” adsorbents measured at room could be erroneous due to non-negligible effect helium adsorption. It proposed density obtained with high temperature, for instance, regeneration adsorbent, considered as adsorbent density. Using corrected densities 3A, 4A, 5A, and 13X zeolites activated graphitized carbons silica gel, we experimentally determined adsorption on above mentioned pressure range up...
Dielectric second virial coefficients varying inversely with temperature have been determined by cyclic expansion measurements at 6.6, 49, and 100°C in the pressure range 1–100 atm. Attributing dependent contribution to dipole moments induced one molecule octopole moment of a gives 3.0× 10−34 4.4× esu for molecular CH4 CF4.
Background Recent advances in sequencing technologies have resulted an unprecedented increase the number of metagenomes that are being sequenced world-wide. Given their volume, functional annotation metagenomic sequence datasets requires specialized computational tools/techniques. In spite having high accuracy, existing stand-alone tools necessitate end-users to perform compute-intensive homology searches against "multiple" databases prior analysis. Although, web-based servers address some...
A new acoustic nondestructive method using Lamb waves as a probe is presented. These are generated and received by an ElectroMagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT). The position of flaws in the structure under test computed from time arrival main peak reflected signal. Due to noisy nature signal, we use wavelet transform algorithm extract required information. advantage such multi-scale signal analysis be suitable for detection problems especially highly environments. We explain how proceed do...
The complex permittivity measurements of some materials, taken by using the time-domain reflectometry (TDR) method, are presented. As an example wide frequency measurement capability, both at radio and microwave frequencies, a liquid crystal is presented in range between 100 kHz 1 GHz. ionic water-in-oil microemulsion system given to describe case conductive sample. From this system, it clear that TDR technique can be used measure sample with high DC conductivity. Even if has small...
Measurements of the electrical conductivity and complex permittivity near a percolation threshold in ternary microemulsion system composed water, iso-octane, AOT are reported. It is shown that conductivity, which implies charge transfer process, well described by dynamic model. The frequency dependence dielectric constant behavior relaxation also found to be close agreement with scaling power laws
Abstract Summary: An unprecedented quantity of genome sequence data is currently being generated using next-generation sequencing platforms. This has necessitated the development novel bioinformatics approaches and algorithms that not only facilitate a meaningful analysis these but also aid in efficient compression, storage, retrieval transmission huge volumes data. We present compression algorithm (DELIMINATE) can rapidly compress genomic loss-less fashion. Validation results indicate...
Metabolic adaptation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) to microbicidal intracellular environment host macrophages is fundamental its pathogenicity. However, an in-depth understanding metabolic adjustments through key reaction pathways and networks limited. To understand how such changes occur, we measured the cellular metabolome M. subjected four stresses using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometric multiple reactions monitoring (LC-MRM/MS). Overall, 87 metabolites were...
This paper presents an ultrasonic nondestructive weld testing method based on the wavelet transform (WT) of inspection signals and their classification by a neural network (NN). The use Lamb waves generated electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) as probe allows us to test metallic welds. In this work, case aluminum is treated. feature extraction made using analysis WT signals; process features classifier interpret results in terms quality concludes process. aim complete lead automated...
The experimental values of the first and second refractivity virial coefficients have been determined for carbon dioxide sulfur hexafluoride. In case coefficient is less than classically calculated theoretical value hexafluoride larger value. Combined with earlier dielectric coefficient, present results agree well integrated collision induced absorption in infrared far infrared.
Dielectric and pressure virial coefficients of SF6 have been determined at 323.3, 348.3, 373.9 K. Attributing the temperature dependent contribution second dielectric coefficient to dipole moments induced in one molecule by hexadecapole moment a gives (5.40±0.7)×10−41 esu · cm4 for molecular SF6. The derived from is (5.75±0.3)×10−41 cm4.
