Dakosaurus and Plesiosuchus are characteristic genera of aquatic, large-bodied, macrophagous metriorhynchid crocodylomorphs. Recent studies show that these were apex predators in marine ecosystems during the latter part Late Jurassic, with robust skulls strong bite forces optimized for feeding on large prey. Here we present comprehensive osteological descriptions systematic revisions type species both genera, doing so resurrect genus manselii. Both diagnosed numerous autapomorphies. maximus...

Machimosaurus was a large-bodied genus of teleosaurid crocodylomorph, considered to have been durophagous/chelonivorous, and which frequented coastal marine/estuarine ecosystems during the Late Jurassic. Here, we revise based on previously described specimens species within this genus. We conclude that there were three European another taxon in Ethiopia. This conclusion is numerous lines evidence: craniomandibular, dental postcranial morphologies; differences estimated total body length;...

The occasional presence these outside Laurasia Gondwana respectively has frequently explained terms dispersal from their place origin by means land bridges that are indeterminate location and character. One example such event is provided Early dinosaurs Europe Africa. Certain European having...

At least four parallel trackways of medium-sized and robust ornithopods are described from the Upper Jurassic Tereñes tracksite in Asturias (N. Spain). While tracks small gracile common record, large very rare this period. Ornithopod gregarious behavior has been recorded many Cretaceous ichnoassemblages, but there few examples Jurassic, these always relate to individuals. The Asturian quite different known ichnogenera, they not sufficiently well preserved propose a new one. Medium-large with...

ABSTRACT A new species of a ziphodont crocodyliform is described on the basis newly-discovered material from Late Cretaceous (Campanian) Sierra Perenchiza Formation Valencia, Spain. It referred to genus Doratodon as D. ibericus sp. nov. To date, (type-species carcharidens) was only known by fragmentary cranial remains Campanian Muthmannsdorf (Austria). This previously regarded either goniopholid or hsisosuchid within Mesoeucrocodylia, but phylogenetic analysis suggests that member...

Las Cerradicas is a small outcrop (25 m2), near Galve, with four dinosaur trackways. Three tridactyl trackways indicate bipedal animals, and have parallel orientation. A fourth or‐nithopod trackway indicates quadrupedal animal smallest among any reported literature (L = 23 cm, W cm pes tracks). It has manus prints that are oval‐shaped impressions. These other...
