We propose a method for the synthesis of colloidal ZnO solution with poly( N -vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) as stabilizer. Stable solutions good luminescence properties are obtained by using PVP stabilizer in nanoparticles sol–gel assisted ultrasound. Nanoparticles sizes 30–40 nm matrix produced solid product. The ZnO/PVP/methanol solution, apart from most intense PL band at 356 coming PVP, exhibits strong 376 (3.30 eV) which corresponds to emission free exciton recombination nanoparticles.
